I was feeding the deer in my campsite one time and I pulled out my KA BAR knife and stabbed one in the neck. It went running off in a hurry into the trees and I forgot all about it. Later that day I went on a hike and wouldn't you believe it? There was the fucking deer I had stabbed in the neck! Talk about luck!

how is that legal since i didn't think that primitive hunting was allowed in some states and if it is..its very limited as to what you can and can't do. while it looks like the film footage was the same day, i would still question the ethics behind using spears, i think that it was a great hunt and to bring a deer down with a spear is pretty great but i would be more worried about the implications of wounding a deer and not inflicting a mortal wound but a wound that would take longer to kill

How far did he run? The angle makes the hit look like a glancing blow, I'd hate to think he suffered much. Like to see the wound channel next time, get an idea of how much damage these spears realistically inflict.

@ThunderousWrath well it went down right at the end of the frame 60 yards or so. I left the wound out on purpose. Severed the spine and sliced the deer in half down to the stomach. When I cleaned it, i cut the opposite side backstrap and the deer fell to the ground in half!!!
