3.) there are numerous examples of a stock Ford GT doing 0-60 in under 3.6 secs.

actually, almost none of what you said made any sense; save the first line about 205mph vs. 208mph. & to answer that first line, yes; there is good reason to limit a car that can go 208mph-215mph to 205mph because it will save the engine. by not allowing the engine to reach into the red, it will keep in running longer & more reliably. when a car engine is run in the red for too long, it causes damage; over time, this damage can ruin the engine sooner than intended. there is logic in limiting it.

obviously, but its not hard to understand that running an engine in it's redlines is harmful & decreases it's life each time it enters the redlines. engines are made to run within their white lines. yes, they can go into the red, but those lines are red for a reason. the engine can only work so hard..
@yuskjr I would hope neither company makes cars that crappy. But limiting the speed is also part in due to different shift tables. They can be changed without the limiter or a complete computer swap.
@darkstarnes3 Speedworld is quite a bit further of a drive and they are usually less strict in tech. Firebird has recently re-done the track but I havent been there since.
I love how the tittle says GT vs Viper but when you see the video the GT never runs. And the GT runs low 11 stock. So stop dreaming saying it runs 8-9 stock. Anyways the GT stock for stock will eat the Viper any day. Same if they're both moded.

the ZR1 does 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds because of its better tires, not the extra HP. put ZR1 tires on a Z06 & it too will get to 60mph in 3.3 seconds.. the only reason the Ford GT doesnt do 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds is because of the tires; switch the tires & it will beat any ZR1.

first off, nothing is ever "fact". there can be overwhelming evidence to support something, but that doesn't make it 100% fact. EVERYTHING WE KNOW IS ONLY THEORY. there is no real way of knowing 100% that something is what we think it is; even Einstein only had theories [some of which falter on subatomic scales..].

im not bias to the Ford GT. the evidence supports the stock Ford GT being faster, so thats why i say it is. i go by evidence & i have never seen a single shred of it supporting a stock ZR1 having a greater top speed than a stock Ford GT. i HAVE seen evidence to support a stock ZR1 & stock Viper SRT10 having better braking than a stock Ford GT, but thats all. i like all those cars you mentioned too & the Ford GT just IS the best of them; the ZR1 is VERY close, but still sits in second.

2.) the 205 mph rating is with an electronic limiter; it is capable of higher speeds when the limiter is removed.
3.) there are numerous examples of a stock Ford GT doing 0-60 in under 3.6 secs.
4.) the Ford GT is much faster than the Z06, & faster than the ZR1.
5.) the evidence is quite clear & i am bias to no company. as i clearly said in my last comment; i love all three cars. they are all sweet as hell, but the order truly is Ford GT > Corvette ZR1 > Viper SRT10.

actually, almost none of what you said made any sense; save the first line about 205mph vs. 208mph. & to answer that first line, yes; there is good reason to limit a car that can go 208mph-215mph to 205mph because it will save the engine. by not allowing the engine to reach into the red, it will keep in running longer & more reliably. when a car engine is run in the red for too long, it causes damage; over time, this damage can ruin the engine sooner than intended. there is logic in limiting it.

I can assume that the GT will win cause if both cars stock for stock the GT wins, it means it will also win if both are modded(a.k.a. common sense). The Viper is hell of a ride but the GT is unfortunately for the GT haters the best american car out there. The only competition is has is the new ZR1 other than that the Viper comes close but a stock Viper doesn't run on low 11 like the GT and ZR1. The Viper runs only 12 or maybe high 11's.

WHo knows what happened to the ford, prob just made a mistake, but the viper sounded nice, not a very good time tho, for a GTS. Stock for stock the Ford GT is .7 seconds faster, so for those that got suckered into watching this, at least you know who would have won.
Anyways, the Ford GT runs 11.6@128 and that model viper runs a 12.2, so it's obvious who would have won, but I must ask the OP, why post a video like this? Absolutely a waste of everyone's time. Thanks for nothing.
