I just don't get it why I'm the one who has to feel the guilt of lying that I feel nothing for a guy when I'm protecting him. I'm protecting him from myself, his friends, society. So why should I feel guilt? I've missed him for 4 years. Is that enough?

I'm going to have to wait for three years before we can be together, and before that, her life is going to be filled with school work, while I have to go out and work for a living. Fourth, she's already been betrothed, when she was six, and that didn't work out. Her parents might hate me, just for jumping into their affairs.
Fifth, her parents are to the point where they've almost put her under house arrest, so I can't talk to her right now at all. In fact, I haven't talked with her in five weeks now. Sixth, her parents, according to her, hate all white boys, and any boys with any romantic notions. Seventh, she doesn't want me to come visit, or else, according to her, her parents will either kill me, or kill her. Literally. Eighth, I proposed to her, and she said yes, but we can't get married until she's 18.
Nineth, she's my first, so I'm making, and have made so many mistakes. I've pursued her when I shouldn't, I guess, but I'm too much of a Man of La Mancha to fade into the night. Tenth, I want her to be happy, no matter what happens. That means, if she wants me to stay away, even if it kills me, that's what I'm going to do. Eleventh, her mother had relationship problems, and my girl might think something like that might happen with us.
Twelfth, I'm in love with a bastard child, which will be tough, for both families. Thirteenth, I'm not sure I'm worthy of her. Even though she's surrounded by perverts and a bad family...she's a light in the darkness. I can't say I'd be the best thing for her, but I'm going to do my best. Of course, she might wind up being better for me than I am for her. Fourteenth, I've never met her in real life, so many of my friends say this will never work, and I fear that she might find someone else.
And Fifteen, I'm home schooled, and she's publicly schooled. That means she knows so much more about how to act socially...where as I spend most of my time on the computer. I don't know what to do or what to say, once I'm finally with her, but surrounded by her friends. Just how I react to other people while she's around might affect our relationship. I've got so many things to fear, there's so much working against the two of us. Sometimes, I don't think this is worth it. But I still love.
