This piece is one of the reasons the album "Progressive Pickin" became one of my favorite Chet Albums. Thanks, DaffyDoug for posting it, thanks Chet (RIP) for playing it, and thanks Jerry (RIP) for writing it.
@fgleich The album cover doesn't say who the piano player is, but my educated guess is the pianist was Floyd Cramer, who was one of the anchors of the Nashville Sound for years.
theres a video where jerry reed announces, at the end of whatever song they were playing (summertime, or maybe dont think twice, its allright, i think) he announces that he wrote this song just to make chet record it or something and calls it Picky, then stating that he will make many mistakes in the song, that are well rehearsed. he plays about 10 notes of it then it cuts :/
MERLE TRAVIS,MARCEL DADI,CHET ATKING,JERRY REED tous au paradis mais on t'il des guitares pour finir j'adore ce morceau qui est plus difficile qui en a l'air
"Kicky", "Twitchy", Yep, Jerry Reed! And about 26 (or more), that Jerry Reed wrote! Very clever Songwriter... :-)

@MrCarlHaynes Them Jerry tunes are hard to nail! Chet nailed them all, like butter on toast.
I have a book by John Knowles with a bunch of Jerry arrangements, and believe me, they are tough.
But not for Mr Guitar, of course.

This sure sounds like something that Jerry Reed would've kicked up. I'd bet anything he had a hand in it.
