This is just a ace game. Even now.. in 2011 there's still that erie cold sence of isolation though some of the levels. Really miss that Tomb Raider feel which to me was lost in Angel of Darkness. By comparason to Anniversary and the orignal theres been dramatic changes graphically, but everything else has been lost :/ Even those creeky sounds though the levels which just added to that whole chill to the game. Tomb Raider.. I shall miss thee :')

Lol the raptor got sent to the top of the level, i luff that glitch lol. it was reli funni the 1st time i found it tomb of tihocan cos the rats went throught the block and got stuck in the ceiling and slowly ran down lol

@TombRaiderSpeedrun Huh? This is the PC version where the speed of the game is correct on every region. The PAL version of TR1 runs slower than it should (although the timer is adjusted so the times come out the same); which is why the later games on PAL feel a lot faster as this was fixed.

The raptors at 00:19 look like the one at tomb raider 3 when lara is in crash site, south pacific islands but in tomb raider 3, it takes 7 shots of desert eagle, here i think it takes 14 shots of pistols.

I love this tomb raider, and all the others on the Playstation a million times more than the new stuff. Sure, they got great graphics, but they completely fucked up the atmosphere and "feel". Me and my sis still randomly beat this game. <3

I understand why this game is such a success but honestly I hated the retro Tombraider games cause I think it was lil to early to make fully 3D games like this since lara moved so slow.

Legend of and Aniversary is better even though I beat em in like one week per both game.

Those raptors have lower stamina and strength compared with the psx version.

I've played both and they are exactly the same; the only possible difference in that regard is some sort of change for certain regional versions.

I thought they went down a bit quicker too, but then everything in the video looks a bit speedier to me than on the PSX. Far beyond me to doubt the skills of MMAN, so I'm assuming it could be the FPS rate? I don't know much about that, but maybe it makes stuff look faster xP

i dont' care what anyone says. the first tomb raider is the best. everything after that no. the sequels, its almost like they gave her new personalities. the music and style from the first one hands down is the best. oh by the way, love the vids. your really good.

Totally agree. People hav forgot that TR1 was one of best games of all time. Although 3 was pretty good. After 1 2 and 3 they got shit. To this day there has not been a game with the level design of this genius!!

OMG, you just jumped straight out of the corridor onto that 'chicken' block. It takes me ages to do that damned puzzle. God, you're good! I thought you were gonna land right on the spikes afterwards. And did you realise the raptor was going to go through the block, or was that just pure luck? I was shocked to see that happen! But boy, he was determined following you all the way to the scion.
