  • I lost a very special friend on Sunday Night, August 17, 1986. Our lives went on a different path since that Sunday Night. On December 24, 2009, fate struck again for the both of us as we've reconnected again in which we saw each other for the time in 23 years at Waipio Costco, in Hawaii! 2day, we're taking it slow again, but we're determined in not letting this one slip through our fingers altogether! "K" and I are extremely happy since we've reconnected again!

  • Thank-You DJ/Joyce Hoover You made my day again..MMC coco

  • Great sequel to Your Wildest Dreams. Moraz was a great addition to the band.

  • Blimey, that Princess Diana's aged badly, hasn't she? Didn't know she could play the guitar though.

  • This song makes me semi-cry.

  • Thank-You forSharing this wonderful song with me Michael Daniels..This was Jim and my song when we first met…He's gone but only for awhile…God is looking after him now. RIP I will love you forever Jim T. Lee " Mr. Big Stuff!" <3 xoxo

  • I know you're still out there. I can feel it. I've been searching for you ever since I was a young lad. I was hypnotised by that red jacket and hat you would always wear to school, but then again you were always the silent type. All I ever wanted was to say that I found you first. I know you're still out there somewhere Carmen Sandiego.

  • I saw these guys in Denver Back in the eighties, I'm a life long fan and I'm only 49, I can listen to there music all day and never get sick of it,perfect when I'm working in my shop,

  • somewhere and some place, nowhere and no place

  • This was my favorite song when i was 4 years old.

  • me and grandpa would listen to this song all the time untill he died 3 years ago

  • She's hot!

  • Justin Hayward, this song gave me hope and I'm now happily married to my soul mate. Thank you.

  • mathboy:somewhere i know u can hear my voice yessenia now smell this fucker its from eggs and radish juice

  • Miss you Tara. I'm sorry for the pain I caused you two years ago that caused you to do what you you did. I wish I could make amends with you, but I realize that will never happen. February 11, 2010...the day the friendship ended. I know you're out there somewhere, but I said I would respect your wishes and leave you alone. I'm sorry.

  • This is the song that brought me back to my true love. Brinkmeyer Archangel

  • Damn, this song reminds me of my past. I want to laugh and cry at the same time. The Moody Blues played a major role in my life and, yes, it had something to do with LSD.

  • oh gawd we know they are the best ever and forever

  • I know you're out there somewhere my son. I lost you 3 years ago January 23 2009. I'll find you again one day forever, because you can only be taken once from me ~ the next time will be forever together. Until then....

  • reminds me of my first boyfriend,,,,,,shout out to Alan,,,,,,

  • I remember blacking out to this song. Back in the day my buddies had a drinking game that involved each time they said "somewhere". Good times

  • I was a limo driver in 1999 and drove them for several days during their tour here in the So Cal area. They shared stories of their time in the 60's at the Magic Castle Hotel. As a thank you they gave us "All Access" passes for Universal. The catering was good but their performance and attitude was GREAT. Indeed a fun time. Thanks for the wonderful memories. (I still have my pass).

  • 11 people are out there somewhere.

  • its a nice sentiment, and its better than most stuff of its time, but I prefer their late 60s style

  • I wonder if he caught up to her and gave her a sausage roll

  • I miss the mother fuckin 80's!

  • Miss you Becky

  • This is mine and my late husband Jim's song …It was playing on the radio when we met…We were married for 3 years. He was diagnosed with cancer the last 11 months…"I found the one my heart desires…" xo Thank-You for posting this lovely song Joyce, my D.J. <3 <3<3 xo

  • Takes me back to early 70s, I worked on a big tanker making long trips europe-persian gulf, but one time the ship made a trip to singapore. Me and my mate went ashore and bought a stash of opium so for the next four month we got high, put on headsets and lisend to moody blues.Belive me, (I was sure they had the answer to what life was all about! lol.Still like to listen to their music every now and then but I later realized that life is a hell lot more complicated than that!

  • I was on a rental car bus in Boston recently and heard this song for the first time in 20 years.......it hit me like a ton of bricks......my high school days in the Boston area, the girls I knew, the girls I dated, the girls I had dreamed about. Such a moving song.......simply can't get it out of my head.

  • Miss you Kato...

  • Fantastic song from a band who have stood the test time. And are certainly one of the best bands to ever come out of England.

  • My first love called me for the first time in 45 years. She is now 75 I am 65. Jurhee, I still love you. Ralph

  • This song reminds me of my missing cat. Love you, Jack. I know I'll find you somehow. :-(

  • Take away the passion, depth, harmony, soul, love, tenderness, urgency, yearning, pleading, those heartlike pounding drums, guitar fretwork, keyboards and lighting, and this song isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Admit it.

  • I too found my high school sweet heart on facebook after 44 years, and were in love again

  • It's true. It's never about the money. Money is a natural outcropping of the job SO WELL DONE...and this band knows what it's talking about. We help humanity in our own way internally unify..., we support a major transformation that's going to take place, and then perhaps..., the pure hearted ones will once again re-unite. It feels like it's been eons since that time. Thank You Moodies ...For Your Ongoing Dedication To Higher Purpose. You're Making A Major Difference, Brinkmeyer Archangel.

  • WOW...........Your words are so true.

Thank YOU 4 placing them here

    4 this song.

Your wildest dreams also would fit well.

    Thanks again 2 u.

  • i just love the boy who plays justin hayward as a kid. we can feel his emotions , the kid has got talent. great video, great song!

as for you the real mr justin hayward i wish you all the best on turning 65 years young :-) last Nov the 14th. you still a cool cat grandpa justin. a grandma fan.

  • @kloudzjia i meant October the 14th.

  • I reconnected with that special someone a few years ago. The feeling of finally being able to put the past behind for both of us has been great. We are both married with kids and firmly entrenched into adulthood. The idea that time heals all wounds is total bs, only by actually talking can you put those wonderful times in perspective. Don't be cautious. Just do it, and you feel great about it.

  • hahahah this is the worst song in history

  • @MaaaarrJ maybe you are history? (mastodonth)

  • Comment removed

  • Loved this song since the first time I heard and appreciated it back in the early 90s. This is the PERFECT SONG for a high school/college crush's quest.

  • Haven't found someone yet... oh well.: (

  • Somewhere, my dearest Heidi Stevens, Nanette Belt, or Delynn Hall, you are sleeping well and happy.

  • I knew she was out there. We reconnected on March 12, 2011. Rebecca had lost her husband in December 2010. We were married on September 10, 2011. We had met in October of 1979. I knew she was out there, somewhere. We were not about to let this time pass us by, again.

  • This video was sent to me by a man that I knew "back when". He found me earlier this year and although we are miles apart, we have fallen madly in love. Thank you babe, for hanging in there. I love you.

  • KITTY..I KNOW YOURE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE, TAKEN..BUT U KNOW I CANT EVER EVER EVER GIVE UP ON U..EVEN IF IT MEANS GETTING KILLED..I WANT U THAT BAD...IM GOING TO NEVER BE ABLE TO FORGET U AND STOP LOVING U..IS THAT NUTS, EVEN THOUGH IVE MET SOME ONE ELSE???????????I WANT U...U...U...U....I'LL DIE FOR ANOTHER CHANCE WITH U AND IT DIDNT WORK OUT, ID DIE AND DIE WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE..THATS WHAT U DID TO ME...I LOVE U KITTY KEARNEY..X0X0...pete

  • beautiful video!!!1, thanks!!!!

  • Quite possibly the best music video ever made.

  • Epic! This is one Incredible Upload!

  • No argument or back talk, just want to say that Moody Blues is #1 on my list!!!!Always has and always be the best of the best!!

  • Isn't It Cooler They Aren't In They Hall Of Fame. That Organization Has Got It Wrong For So Many Years.

  • @renues Indeed. The absense of "Weird Al' Yankovic proves that.

  • Ha ha, I remember this video. I was one of the people dancing in the background in the scenes at The Marquee Club in London when the band were 'young'. Three hours of dancing for about 5 seconds of footage but it was good fun.

  • Got to be my all time favourite song,BY ANY BAND!.Not just because I know she is out there and we do get the occasional distance sight of each other, but that it brings back so many memories of our happy times together, will we ever get back together?who knows, but there's a chance we will go together to see MBs at the BIC next year if they're still touring.and what a fantastic show they put on.5 stars for this brilliant video.

  • Stupids ads on youtube.

  • as to the response to the poster that the MB are not in the Hall of Fame... it's truly unbelievable they are not along with other fine musicians and groups....

    Love the Moody Blues!

  • @asquare176 They've always been in my rock n' roll hall of fame.

  • I ran into my out there somewhere! last i saw here was 18yrs agao, she's just as beautiful as the last time i saw her!

  • I've got an uncle who looks exactly like the drummer

  • @ForsakenDread Graeme Edge is the drummer, and he is honestly one of the funniest men I have had the pleasure to meet. A complete joker, the type of guy you would love to have a Pint of beer with. A lot like my uncle, as well, I guess. Their 50th Anniversary is coming up, and I hope they celebrate it in grand touring fashion!

  • After 50 years I discovered my lost loves. Eighth grade and high school boyfriends had morphed into potbellied men with little intellectual curiosity. Yes, I did see them at 50-year class reunions. They, nor I, are the same people. We have changed for better or for worse. A lost love only exists in sweet memories. Can't listen to "I know You're Out There Somewhere" without tears in my eyes. But neither they, nor I, are out there somewhere any more

  • To anyone who can relate to this song, don't wait, look them up. I found someone whose been on my mind off and on for the last 25 years after we drifted apart. Just to know they were okay, hear their voice again and touch base was an incredible high for both of us. To have some contact you out of the blue after 25 years is truly a gift, give it....

  • @thisreallysucksbig been there. It is an incredible gift to reconnect with that special someone.

  • @thisreallysucksbig It's too late for me. I was split up from someone who was my childhood sweetheart. But my Mother & American step-father dragged me to the State's, shortly afterward her folks dragged her to Switzerland. I've returned to England, but I doubt that I'll ever see her again. She's probably married to some Swiss guy, with kids! I can relate to the preguel of this music video...

  • @borgduck Damn typo! Prequel!

  • @thisreallysucksbig So hoping it works out for you, I still adore a woman from 45 years ago,....just merely the Godess on earth...BUT, my everyday life has been spent to be trying to be sure She would be pleased with me...it's been a rough road, but, frankly, a happy one....

  • @thisreallysucksbig about the same time this song came out too, cool

  • Quite a few of us have said 'one of the best'. They are not one of the best, they are THE BEST! Those 3 originals have stood the test of time. They entertain not only those who have followed them through the years but also the generations to follow. Their song writing, singing and chemistry are one of a kind. They put on a hell of a show. I recently them recently for the first time and they were more than I expected. Thank you U.K. for the Moody Blues! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • one of the best bangs of all times

  • @JHsnakeee what was her name?

  • *Sigh*.....my theme song.....and I'm still looking.

Happy Birthday, Justin.....thanks for all the great music.

  • For...LL

  • test

  • Where is Denny ?

  • He has aged so gracefully. I could just eat him up!

  • Justin has the longest and bushiest eye-lashes. He's so adorable!

  • I have to write about this song in micro economics...

  • yeah, still, after all these years..

    wow~

  • I have had a couple of failed relationships since my ex died. I have just accepted the fact I will live out the rest of my life alone. This song makes me cry.

  • For Allyson......my lost love.

  • Always brings tears to my eyes. Lost my children because of my ex who became a crack whore (literally). I cannot see them again until they are 18. I will always remember them and pray for the day I can see them again. I just work everyday to make my life a little better so they can be proud of their father when I do find them. Leslie, Charles, daddy loves and misses you so very much. May God keep his hand on your hearts.

  • Justin Hayward has the most beautiful blue eyes and the longest eyelashes! I love him! I love his voice!

  • Who are the people in the video and where are they at now.

  • Lori, I loved hanging out with you. No it wasn't perfect, but I'd rather focus on the good times that we had, than the bad ones. You taught me a lot, as a messenger, who was in my life for a short time only. There's still a small place in my heart for you. I still remember, from almost three years ago. There was much meaning to your angel costume, worn at a Hallowe'en party in Canada, this was because you're quite a spiritual person. You're out there somewhere, my friend in spirit.

  • This makes me think of my one and only true love, Shaynana Chiquita Shanekia "Pookie" Jones. I met her at Big Daddy's Motel Motor Lodge Bar & Grill Pool Hall & Bait N' Tackle Shop. We used to drink shots of Windex and she like to do something called mehth. She didnt have many teeth, but she was a slightly sweaty dream in sweatpants and flip-flops to behold. I would always offer her a swig from my mountain dew, and we'd get on my scooter, with her shuffling along side out the door forever.

  • The Moodies hit #30 in Billboard, 8-6-88. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • i love this video...its sooo cute...the little boy is darling...i feel bad for little justin and want to pick him up,throw him in the air and tickle and kiss and kiss him...and if the big justin was my first boyfriend...i would have gone with him around the world and never left his side!! and take pictures with my camera ...i bet he was so fun to be around, gods perfect creation.!i love you justin... your my fav musician/songwriter...write me a song... call it ...the path to love..

  • cheryl >gypsie>martin or pam karen n pontiac facebook thom smith tacoma

  • Thats beautiful guys,..But, on the opposite side of the spectrum,..for me....I know you're out there...somewhere...but...it's a complete stranger...Never knew him and is as elusive as your dreams...And thats 40 years ago for me..I do hope you have found the one that had your heart. For me, no one has ever claimed that victory in my world..I wish to be able to sing this song to someone and mean it in my life

  • @e77toe77 Thank you for you support. She just had triplets via a sperm donor. Her husband was shooting blanks. I love her so much. How do you deal with that? At this point, I guess, my only option is to try to live longer than him. Thanks everyone.

  • "lesser efforts" my ass. This is my favorite MB song!

  • @SkilletsUSMC Mine too. Well, maybe not my favorite but it is definitely one of their greatest.

  • The woman who plays the 1960s girl is freeeekin' beauoootiful. Wish I knew her name.

  • I grew up in the late 60's and early 70's and once I heard the Moody Blues I was inspired by their wonderful and thoughtful music that they created. In my book, they are the best

  • I love the Moody Blues, but this is not one of their better efforts.

  • @kiwipreacher I would say that even one of the Moody Blues lesser efforts is better than 99% of the music today

  • Comment removed

  • A great group who has survived the test of time. These were wonderful days, even though I was in the military, civilian life and the 60's - 70's was the best time this human race will ever know.

  • Justin, I love you more than words can say!

  • Gosh this came out in '88... has it been that long, the time seems to have passed quickly. I wish I could go back. I was 23 and free. If there's any young hipsters out there thinking you'll be young forever, please go out today and run free, be alive and tell someone you love them.

  • @bigdsears Amen brother..I was 18 and free and those WERE the days :-)

  • 7 People apparently stopped looking :-(

  • I think of a friend of mine from madison wis, kevin s, he use to play the moody blues and it reminds me of him. I'm still out here linnea

  • Just think, now all he'd have to do is look her up on facebook...

  • thumbs up all the way with me

  • This song has very haunting memories for me. While at a Moody Blues concert 20 years ago, I could have sworn I saw an old lover, from my past. But since I was with my fiance, was afraid to talk to him. I wish I had now, coz I know, he's out there somewhere, and just wanted to say, "Hi".

  • I'm shocked at how good the visual quality is here. Why is it that some music videos that were produced in the late 90's seem have been stored in a fish tank and uploaded by Vevo at the lowest compression?

  • love the moody blues

  • The Moody Blues enter your ears, seek out your soul and stay in your heart forever..so much timeless inspirational music is just plain uplifting. Thanks , you guys are truly great and all of your songs are gifts to the world.

  • in the interpretation of how we see it.. the magic of the Moody Blues.. we can all relate.. my fav since the 60's . yup, i was there and remember. :)

  • I know you're out there somewhere....

but wish you were here with me....

  • moody blues fuckin own!!

  • Who is this girl? She's in more than one video?

  • @MattTrevett Her name is Janet Spencer-Turner, and yes, this is "part 2" to "Your Wildest Dreams" and picks up where that video leaves off. This time, he is the one trying to find her. He does :-).

  • @MattTrevett Yes. This song is the "sequel" to Wildest Dreams, which she was also in.

  • You can't compare any of the transcendental great bands of that era... Beatles, Byrds, Moody Blues, etc... They all seem to have been inspired and we'll be lucky if that much good music ever happens again, so much in so few years.

  • awesome!

  • The video has a nostagic feel to it, and nice shots of london.

  • apples and oranges turquoise they all have their place in the history of great music

  • Add blockers plus to stop adds from vevo. I'm sure it's safe to download.

  • "'Cos the promise that we made each other

    Haunts me to the end..."

    SO true!

  • I love the Moody Blues, I have attended many concerts. This one is extra special, it's a message to Shan, the girl I spent my youth with and dedicated my second novel, "I know you're out there somewhere..." Thank you Justin, John and Graeme...Here's to another decade!

  • I recently saw the Moody Blues in concert. This feels a lot more spiritual and awe-inspiring in person. It has a very special meaning for me, so I was happy when they performed it.

  • They are ROCK N' ROLL and they belong in the Hall of Fame. The fact that they are not, and the Sex Pistols are, is one of the greatest travesties of our time. These guys are among the BEST EVER!!!!

  • @jcarey1483 Ah,who are the Sex Pistols?

  • @jcarey1483 no

  • I HATE VEVO

  • Ben Daniels playing the young Justin Hayward!

  • Holy crap with the ads! Is it necessary that they be this obnoxious? Love the moody Blues!!

  • A favorite of all lost (and found) lovers out there...

  • These Maestros are extremely talented!

God Bless the Moody Blues,My 31 year old daughterwas very impressed,We saw them 5/5/11 in KCMO,I first saw them on 10/1972 with the Mellotron!!

    Peace Brothers and Sisters!

  • Fucowees ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luv ya'll

  • I was talking to an Englishman complaining that the Moodies weren't in the R+R HOF He said "Maybe it isn't Rock and Roll". I thouyght to myself, they are like the old troubadors of the Middle Ages,Maybe the R+R HOF doesn't like excellent music... Go Moodies, Love you Forever!!..I saw the 5/5/2011 here in Kansas City,Mo..Excellent show.. All ages were there...and we danced most of the concert..not bad for Baby Boomers!

  • @geehowdy1 I was at that KC show as well. It was an excellent show and an excellent crowd. KC loves the Moodies!

  • 40 years ago, I broke a gentle heart. I know she's out there somewhere, in my wildest dreams, I would love to say "I'm sorry I was a fool!" Wherever you are Jody..

  • @piper54alpha postive understanding and change!!!

    Cheers man!!

  • @piper54alpha positive understanding and change!!!

    Cheers man!!

  • @piper54alpha ...took us over 50 years...if it is meant to be...never give up hope...we still have obstacles to overcome

  • @piper54alpha I'm right here baby,i moved to the bronx

yes,you were a fool and a sorry ass,but i still think of you in my wildest wet dreams

  • @piper54alpha my first love married a woman -- who looked so much like me - yeah I know what you mean ...

  • @piper54alpha i know how you feel piper......injuries to the heart never heal......bravo for being in touch.....that's the first step

  • @Acesthreat .... this song wants to make me cry. two people in like or love. whatever becomes should not let the time or insecurity or thoughtlessness of what was not said or what should have been said.... I hope this makes sense...Moody Blues forever...

  • @piper54alpha You can't take back what you did, it's gonna be there for the rest of your life

  • @piper54alpha that moved my heart, i wish you could enter in contact with that special one

  • @piper54alpha I can relate to your feeling i have been on both sides.......and in a way it feels the same the pain of the soul is like no other.

  • Saw them yesterday in Marin County, Ca (Bay Area). My 6th MB concert. They were unreal. Love the Moodies.

  • hmmm

  • txncgirl1 - bad luck! Saw them in Oklahoma 2 weeks ago - great show, same fabulous sound - Justin sounds as good as ever!

  • moody blues - missed them by one day - both ways!!! Houston & Austin:=(

  • Very retro, I like it, guys.

  • @ColoCharger: Awesome...good to know it still happens!

  • Coming to my town in a few weeks, got the ticket money stashed. OH, and I know you're out there somewhere I'll return again to you.......

  • I think this is my favorite song by them, I just saw them at red rocks. I got goosebumps when they started playing this song :)

  • Bev. I know your still out there somewhere (YOUR TONY) :)

  • Keep the songs, ditch the preview crap. Only then will I view the videos.
