I am very proud of the Seabee's - All of them! My son included who went for 2 tours in Iraq. His men and women lost 7 men in the 1st 2 weeks in their 1st tour, and he personally was a snipper protecting his group many times. Damn right! These people are heroes just like any boots on the ground in any conflict!

My dad was in the Seabees in WWII. He was in the Normandy invasion at Omaha Beach (2nd wave). Then he went to Tinian and helped build the runway for the Enola Gay. He said they build an air-conditioned chamber which was unheard of back then but didn't know what it was for. He always said the CB's prepared the way for the Marines!
