The more listen to Roxette's body of work as a new fan, the more of these simple little gems I find, written by Per and performed as only Marie Fredriksson can! In particular, their new CD "Charm School" gives us two beautiful ballads in "Nobody Makes It On Her Own" and "In My Own Way" years after they hit the charts. Amazing!

Per was always a simple guy who didn't get into building an image of himself by doing strange things, being extrovert or scandalous or singing against somebody, and that doesn't sell, so he has never received the recognition of media and public he deserved, but when it comes to music, he is a genius. It's amazing the number of good and great songs he has written and the sense of harmony he has. Unluckily today's public looks more for the image than for the music itself.
