Duncan Hunter is RIGHT on immigration and he is the ONLY candidate out there who supports CLOSING our borders and dealing with the problem before it gets worse. I think if I was a terrorist I would definitely be coming in through the back door of Mexico.
I agree. All of the other politicians are just watching the polls, telling you what you want to hear until they are elected. Show me any other candidates that want work place enforcement (the only way to actually solve the problem).
Google Americans for Better Immigration and note Thompson's grade of C. Compare his grade with open borders icon Spencer Abraham. The grades are identical. Google Thompson's profile at NumbersUSA and note that every statement here is absolutely true. Duncan Hunter has been the leader on securing the border since he opposed the amnesty in 1986. Duncan Hunter has a grade of A+, authored the Secure Fence Act signed by Bush in October 2006 and built the fence between San Diego and Tijuana.
gapatriot, google CFR membership. Duncan Hunter is not, and has never been, a member of CFR, AEI, the Trilateral Commission or the Bilderbergs. Hunter has cosponsored H. Con. Res 40 against construction of a NAFTA Superhighway System. Hunter is a great patriot and a leader on the fight to secure our border against illegal immigration.
Duncan Hunter said he wants to NUKE Iran. Without any regard to massive collateral damage and massive innocent civilian casualties..That's pretty damn evil if you ask me..Considering no Iranian has ever come to our country and attacked us or even threatened to do so. And Hunter is talking about a Preemptive Nuclear Attack on Tehran...A city of millions. That's sick!
They have attacked and killed our soldiers, and provided weapons to those that do so and have threatened to wipe either us or Israel off the map. In fact, if it weren't for them there's a good chance we'd be done with Iraq by now and would have a lot less deaths.
Do you have proof of the Iranian military attacking US troops? Or are you talking out of your sphincter? And tell me what does Israel have to do with United States? Has Iran ever invaded or attacked Israel? Are we living in the United States of Israel? Are you an American or an Israeli? Where is your allegiance Israel or the USA?
My allegiance is to the United States of America. And that includes all of our interests, which I believe includes the protection of our allies when the situation calls for it. What does she have to do with us? She is our friend against anti-american islamic regimes. I will leave a comment on your profile (where they don't censor links) of some news articles about Iranian weapons and etc.
I think your allegiance is not to the United States of America..What has Israel ever done FOR the United States?...Nothing to my knowledge..They don't even pay back the money they borrow..How many Israelis have Americans killed? And how many Americans have the Israelis killed? Stop kidding yourself.
BTW....All of your links are bonk...none of them work. And as far as EFP's go. That's American technology. We have been using copper based penetrators in our MK48 torpedoes and other munitions for decades. Nice try.
Fred Thompson is a political prostitute. He the best politician that money can buy...Just pay him his fee. And he will take any position you want him to. And if you think I am lying just check his record. Personally I liked him best when he played the NASCAR guy in "DAYS OF THUNDER." He makes a better actor than he ever would a President.
Why would anyone vote for a lobbyist that is the whole undermind to the government system. They bribe our pollitician and we get what we got now days. I guess if you like corporations rights and not idividual rights you vote for the puppets. The ones with all the money not from average money. Its ok I don't think this system we got will last to much longer the way its ran. There more in the process on how to spend our money before we even make it in our checks. 9 trillion Debt Ouch!
lol so thelastinkling you think the Federal Government should make Laws to rule over a whole nation on how we choose. Why can't local government or States do this? Then atleast everyone wouldn't be dictated as a whole and choose what state they like that fits there needs! Ron is Prolife but I don't think he would create a law or allow a law that would set judgement on those that would want it. Its not the liberterian way! Individual Rights is the way of the future not dictatorship!
I believe in individual rights. I believe in letting states have control and having a small federal government. But ending something that I consider to be genocide, needs to be handled nationally. Just like slavery. Allowing abortion is much closer to a dictatorship than outlawing it. It is a complete usurpation of someone's right to live (14th amendment). As a libertarian you would agree that the government should intervene only to protect rights, this is exactly what I am advocating.
If that's all that blowback means, than of course I agree with it. But most who support the blowback theory, as I've seen, have a very unrealistic understanding of idealism and propaganda. Many KGB defectors told us that was our big problem. We totally misinterpreted what the USSR felt and thought. The same with Islam...many terrorist groups were created and affected by the KGB actually. I will look up the video and do more research. Thanks for the tip.
I basically agree with that much. We have intervened a lot of places we shouldn't have, but I disagree somewhat with the blowback theory (yes, I know the CIA supports it, but I haven't trusted the CIA on foreign policy since the cold war. There were a lot of things they didn't understand). IMHO, blowback theory does not understand idealism, and it does not properly interpret propaganda. It takes it too trustfully. ..
Oh of course I do. And I do think we have intervened in a lot of places that we shouldn't have. I dont' deny that. But the people who believe in blowback severly underestimate idealism, which is a mistake our country has made a lot. You demonstrated a key problem I have. You said, "I'd be pissed off too" Well, perhaps they would too, but merely referring to yourself ignores that they are from a very different world. I want to understand how they think, not how we assume everyone thinks.
...(finishing what I said below)... if your enemy knows anything about using propaganda (and the islamists got it from the experts, the KGB) you can never trust what they say. And people who believe in blowback seem to think that since it would mean destruction, no nation would attack the US. This totally ignores idealism and that many islamists would gladly sacrifice entire nations. (and it ignores how weak our missile defense program is, because we ignored REagan's warnings)
What gives us justification to occupy another country? What gives us justification to economically manipulate other countries or remove their leadership like we did in Iran? NOTHING. That's why they revolted and why Iran is run by islamic fundamentalist. That region was already unstable before we arrived and our actions have made the political climate more hostile. The CIA has no reason to advocate something that would limit their activities.
I'm not really arguing with your first thesis at all. I just don't think it's the full picture. I think there are times when a CIA operation like that is warranted, and I don't know enough about the Iranian situation to give a judgement.
Your argument about the CIA doesn't make much sense to me. Just because they're hurting themselves that makes it right? The CIA has beend dead wrong about understanding the enemy even during the cold war. We were very gullible then and now.
To say that they are wrong about blowback is ridiculous. Blow back means that our actions sometimes have unintended consequences. The #1 example of this was what happened with Iran when we tried to setup a puppet government. Don't you think the iranian people have a right to be pissed off about us deposing their leadership? After all that is what caused the iran contra situation.
Look up "Iran hostage" on youtube and get a brief history of why they dislike the United States.
Well I prefer to be harder on the immigration issue then a stupid fence, especially after learning about all the tunnels they found. I still prefere Ron Pauls idea to remove the incentives to be here so they won't want to come unless they are intrested in something besides our welfare system.
I agree. Though it's not Ron Paul's idea, it's a lot of conservative's ideas. Basically what I'm trying to say in this video is that fred is not the king everyone claims he is. People are flocking to him because they thin he'll be better than McCain...it's not true IMHO.
Hunter?? No, sorry - you are with the wrong movement... But hey it's cool - that's what great about having FREEDOM! Youtube Ron Paul
