The goal of science is what can be proved with evidence. I was taught by my church that dinosaurs and man coexisted. I was taught it never rained until the flood. I was taught the earth was only 6,000 years old. Science doesn't set out to disprove the bible, instead it follows the evidence. That's why Christians originally stated the devil was putting fossils in the ground to fool people. People are free to believe what they want, but I can't reconcile science and religion.

A lot of numbers in the Bible have "spiritual meanings to them" & R not necessarily literial ones.
Take the number 40 for example, it is a number of testing. Many verses in the scriptures that R associated with it reveal a lot of tense trials such as Jesus fasting for 40 days, the Children of Israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. It rained upon the Ark for 40 days and nights and there are many other examples as well.
Post or pre trib. Does it matter? If you live to see it , good on you. The point is to keep God in your heart. You may die tonight. If you die and have God in you , you will be inraptured to see the lord .
Stay in the spirit that God wants you in , for no man knows .

The 7th/last trumpet is different than the Last Trump when Christians are raptured. For this - and many other scriptures - I strongly believe we will be taken out before Daniel's 70th week (7 year trib). God is Love, and I don't believe it's His character to beat up on His Bride for 7 years. Because of Jesus, we have no need of any more 'purification' by the Great Tribulation.
You are flat wrong about this. The first 3 and a half years is the wrath of man and Satan. The Great Trib, or last 3 and one half years, IS DEFINITELY the Wrath of the Lord.

My road to atheism began when the Holy Spirit opened my eyes and began realizing what I was being taught to be wrong. I freaked out when I realized most Christians are going to hell. I left my church. Later I found science and logic. However, I still retain what I learned.. So when Christians tell me I'm going to hell, I can respond by showing them they are going to hell too. However, I'm willing to share the truth to those who want it. -And it is in no way complicated.

At the time, God told me to flee my church and I did not obey. I stayed and eventually left in anger. That's my sin. I later found science and I no longer believe. I fully admit that if the word of God is true, then I am going to hell. However, if the word of God is true, then so are most Christians. I will send you some links to some blog posts of mine. The goal of science is what can be proved with evidence. I was taught by my church that dinosaurs and man coexisted. I was taught it never rained until the flood. I was taught the earth was only 6,000 years old. Science doesn't set out to disprove the bible, instead it follows the evidence. That's why Christians originally stated the devil was putting fossils in the ground to fool people. People are free to believe what they want, but I can't reconcile science and religion.

Shepherd of Hermas (95-150 AD) taught post trib rapture.
Those properly prepared will escape tribulation, but not by evacuation, but rather by faith. Those in spiritual Zion, the holy mountain (Heb 12:18-23), will not be caught running to the mountains as they havent born fruit of Christ, but are still with child, or on milk (Mat 24:19), not the meat of the word.

Governments probably will legitimize aliens, but independent of the rapture, which will come after the 7 year tribulation and at the beginning of the year of wrath AKA the Day of the Lord. World government may come in 2010 for pollution governance. Also a world census in 2010, like Luke 2, may bring the man-child of Rev 12.

Heavens withdrawing like a scroll rolled up is the time of the Day of the Lord, Mat 24:29-31, which is a year, Isa 34:8, 63:4. This year, which is not decreed on thy people, comes after the 7 year tribulation, which is decreed on thy people, Dan 9:24. Christians are thy people, Rom 2:28-29.

The Church is called the "Bride of Christ" and He said He would come for his bride. In Jewish tradition, the groom would choose his bride, then go prepare their home for her. Matthew 24: The coming of the son of Man will be as the days of Noah. The one that was taken away was the wicked one and the good was left on earth. Sorry to say but the pre-trib belief is a comfortable state of consciousness. What happens if there is no pre-trib rapture? You are screwed. The better prepared are those who are post-trib. Revelation 13: the beast makes war with the saints....thats going to be impossible if the saints all already raptured. Good luck with your pre-trib rapture.

A lot of numbers in the Bible have "spiritual meanings to them" & R not necessarily literial ones.
Take the number 40 for example, it is a number of testing. Many verses in the scriptures that R associated with it reveal a lot of tense trials such as Jesus fasting for 40 days, the Children of Israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. It rained upon the Ark for 40 days and nights and there are many other examples as well.

A part of knowledge increased is greater understanding of the word of God. Its not changing the word of God or adding scriptures or taking away scriptures but a greater understanding of the word.
And that this prophetic word - Knowledge shall increase.... is fulfilled through the Holy Spirit.

Good video. This concurs with a video I did about Google's recent series honoring H.G. Wells birthday. Over a couple of weeks they did spaceship and alien themes on their search page. They are continually putting it in our faces the thought of alien invasions, etc.

There is a movie coming out that is named 2012, and they are advertising on their website for those interested to sign up for a future lottery of drawing names for those to be saved from the coming disaster. a day in the Lord is 1000 years but for the sake of the elect and so that there would be something left when it is over, the Lord has shortened the day to 10 years rather than 1000.

The church is not mentioned after chapter 4 in Revelation.
I have been studying the end times for years with an open mind, and my belief has gotten STRONGER from studying it that we are raptured before the tribulation.
In addition, I recommend studying a traditional Jewish wedding and how it parallels the Rapture and Daniel's 70th week.

What I really believe is that the church will be tried in the fire of the tribulation and her garments will be made as white as snow. Most people who profess to be Christians today are so caught up in the world and have never picked up the cross that there is no way they would be raptured. Jesus will protect his bride (wise ones) during the trib but we will be pushed to the limits of our faith
There will be few that enter through the narrow gate.
As to your question; probably more than we think.

Jesus' work is already done. The only requirement to enter heaven now is Faith and Repentance.

Plus, if you ask many other Christians in the world if they are being persecuted you would get a huge 'Yes' response. All you have to do is look at Voice of Martyrs and Persecution (websites) and see how many people are being thrown in jail and tortured for their belief.

The key word here is repentance.
Something which the modern church knows little of.
They believe you can say a few magic words and you are saved and will be raptured into Heaven.
Jesus is good to forgive us our sins but he wants you to quit sinning. He is not a free ticket to keep on sinning without consequences.

The 7th/last trumpet is different than the Last Trump when Christians are raptured. For this - and many other scriptures - I strongly believe we will be taken out before Daniel's 70th week (7 year trib). God is Love, and I don't believe it's His character to beat up on His Bride for 7 years. Because of Jesus, we have no need of any more 'purification' by the Great Tribulation.

I suggest you watch Dr. Chuck Missler's series on Revelation on YouTube. He does a much better job than I would.
And it's clear that you have your beliefs about this - I'm not going to change them. And I have sought the Lord and studied this for years with an open heart/mind, and my belief has only gotten STRONGER about a pre-trib rapture. Regardless, we'll probably find out soon enough. Jesus will always be my Lord, regardless.
