The Warner Bros. logo at the end of this video has the classic 1936 fanfare which, in the 1985 Warner Home Video logo that used synthizizes to play Stenier's tune.
I wish someone had the video of when the channel WGN used to player thier late-night movies. I think it was only on Saturday nights. That theme they used was Epic.
@supernintendan - I'm from Southern New Jersey, so I wouldn't have WGN stuff (I wish I did though - I do get WGN America, but I heard that WGN stuff is legendary). Also, you may never find it because WGN does not allow posting of their material on You Tube.
@Cyclops236 - Was it posted on You Tube? I've watched WGN America quite a few times, except they don't show local commercials, which is something I REALLY want to see.
@AllisonTheSNLGuru It showed a news thing saying tonight at ten and then the opening but I haven't seen it since I got a new computer because it was removed a week after it was posted.
Plus the guy with Gruff voice in the early 80's scared me.The Following Feature is Rated R,Creeped Me out, especially seeing the bumper in the dark at 3am alone.
Really what hurt Caddyshack 2 was the casting.Only Randy Quaid seemed funny.Jackie Mason is not Rodney Dangerfield.Dan Akyroyd(Though Funny)is not Bill Murray,Robert Stack is not Ted Knight, and Chevy Chase wasn't given enough screen time.
do you got betamax tapes?

@cameron20101000 - No, I do not. I only have VHS tapes.

@Cyclops236 - I'm not surprised...posting WGN stuff is a cardinal sin.
AllisonTheSNLGuru 9 months ago
@AllisonTheSNLGuru Cardinal Sin never heard of that term is that a Jersey expression?
Cyclops236 9 months ago
@Cyclops236 - haha, no. At least, I don't think it is. :-)

does anyone remember that disclaimer that said something like "this program contains language of a frank and explicit nature?"
mpasdos 2 years ago
I think so...sounds familiar!
AllisonTheSNLGuru 2 years ago
@mpasdos That particular "warning" was used for unrated pictures on CINEMAX in the early 90's

"Caddyshack II" was awful. The first one was great.

I work at a upscale country club, and Caddyshack is the Bible for us. Caddyshack II is an insult to the original.

What year is this from?
floridapanthersroar 2 years ago
The tape is from 1989, but the HBO logo is from 1987.

another excellent HBO opener to go along with wicked music ! !

That "The Following Movie Is Rated PG' was so good

I like how Hbo in the mid 80's,had An ivory backround on the ratings bump.Looks better than the black/blue backround of the earlier 80's.

Yes, less ominous.

I heard a rumor for years that there were plans for a Caddyshack 3 with Louie Anderson as the crazy gopher hunter.

Someone with intelligence will keep those plans to themselves.

What wrong with Caddyshack II?
yellowdiva21 3 years ago
Oh not much, except for the fact that its a mediocre sequel to one of the greatest sports comedies of all time.
A classic like Caddyshack did not deserve to be followed up by a movie that was a thin shadow of what the original was.
My mom said they taped it only because the movies were back-to-back on HBO that night.
AllisonTheSNLGuru 3 years ago
I see. I never saw the caddyshack movies by the way
yellowdiva21 3 years ago
Oh, ok. I highly recommend the first one, but the second one is viewable only as a testament to how fast a franchise can fall from glory.
AllisonTheSNLGuru 3 years ago
I think had Bill Murray,or More Importantly Rodney Dangerfield had been in it,it would've rocked.
Cinemax1980 2 years ago
Caddyshack is a pale, emasculated shadow of the brilliant original.
