If they had a random library of sound effects that generated when you crashed it would be much much more realistic. I am hearing the same glass smashing sound in every single crash... but yet no two crashes in this game are ever the same... Food for thought for Codemasters lol

I think DiRT is probably a bit more realistic in some areas because the cars crush a lot more and don't look as strange as they do in Paradise.

i think the damage sytem is better in burnout(the cars have a more heavy,crushy,metal feel to them)

on my xbox it seems to work pretty well,but there are a few flaws,though the cars in dirt feel very light,and don't seem to roll as realisticly,though the driving expenerance is way better in dirt

DiRT by far, FlatOut 2 has really crappy damage. It's all pre-defined and fake, and the cars barely take any damage at all. In DiRT it's mostly dynamic and there's no limit to how much the cars can crush.

It's called DiRT. It's called Colin McRae dirt in Europe. It's for PC and Xbox 360. The damage won't look that good on the 360, because I had to mod it to look realistic.

I have a Radeon X1800 512 MB, an AMD 64 X2 4800+, and 2 GB of RAM. Runs okay, 20-30 FPS on lowish detail, no AA or AF. I nearly DOUBLED the damage multipliers to get the cars to crush that much. Wheels should not fly off so easily, but I have not figure out a way to fix this.

How do you damage your car like that. I try crashing like that and my wheels never explode and I hardly get terminal damage. Do you have to be playing at hard difficulty levels for this?

yes. rookie difficulty means that not only you have easy opponents, but it's also easy to finish the race. if you had this damage level to all difficulties it would be impossible to finish the race, making the lowest difficulty level hard even for new players. so yes you can only have full damage on pro difficulty.
