Beyonce's performance in this move was so under-rated. The look on pure angst and disbelief in her face @ 1:58 when Curtis says: "...and Deena, I forgive you." She looks like she's just been slapped across the face. It was such an understated, nuanced performance. I think she should have been nominated for Best Actress and JHud for Best Supporting.

This is a great song, but it should not have been in the movie. The whole point is that Deena is the look, not the voice, and this proves that Deena can sing like nobody's business. Effie must have a more powerful voice than Deena, and this song is showing that they are equal. Effie is supposed to be "the voice", not Deena.
