Hi, I never had surgery because I didn't get tonsillitis enough times...I had it about 3 or 4 times in a row, but I've never gotten it again....really weird.

Some doctors won't let you get your tonsils out unless you've had tonsillitis a certain number of times.

@RosHan071 when i was about 8 years old i would get it litteraly every other week so they finaly took thoes stupid tonsils out =D. but now i have a viral enfection in my throut so its basicly the same thing but u cant do anything about it

oh my goodness everyone relax... so hostile... im sittin here probably the least worst case i have had. last time temp of 106. not normal for tonsillitis turns out i had that and a realllllllyyyyy bad cold. i feel your pain i wanna die too

I've been balling my eyes out today in pain. Thankfully I'm on antibiotics & vicodin (woohoo) now after being at 2 different doctor's today. It's a bad one. So, although your vid is from forever ago, I'm glad you posted it. I feel your pain!!

I've got a case of Tonsillitis too, which I caught off my housemate whom caught it off his niece.

It didn't start too badly, but the fever and insomnia were irritating. But it REALLY kicked in last night, and I was desperate to get to the doctor because I couldn't stop swallowing, because I could feel a sort of lump in my throat. And the coughing and retching, oh MAN that was hell!

The thing is, we thought we had a strong common cold, but I only found out from the doctor that it WAS this!

I've got it at the moment too. I'm taking painkillers as often as I can and Penicillin. It does hurt like hell especially when you first wake up.

I also have tonsillitis... ihave to take tablets five times a day.. it sux.. and u can die from tonsillitsis.. but it has to be a severe case.. cause if it gets poisined and goes it to ur blood stream.. well u can die!! ... my right tonsills are bigger than my left.. AGHH!!! PAINFUL!!

I have it right now as well. it hurt so bad When I woke up, I started crying. Thank god for Vicodin lol.

Not having them out means an increase in the risk of catching diseases. tonsilitus blocks your immune system, I'd be careful if I were you;).
