Its a horse hair worm. The most common way to get these are in swimming pools. Usually in Florida. Water flees eat horse hair worm eggs and when you go swimming its very easy to swallow the water flee. The eggs arent killed by stomach acid and then hatch in your intestines to feed for 2 years. Then when theyre an adult they go up to your skin and make a blister that gets really hot. You natureally put it in water and they come out and lay eggs in the water, which usually goes down a drain.
are you crazy that's definitely not not intestine! it's gotta be something foreign that infected the insect. kill it with fire upon immediately or send it to a laboratory upon seeing another one.
Nematomorpha sp. (or horsehair worm), it's a parasitic worm that lives inside the cricket for most of it's life and feeds off of the cricket's diet. then when it has outgrown it's host, it's brainwashes the cricket to commit suicide (usually by drowning) and out comes the long alien worm. biological warfare at it's best!
this parasite usually controls the mind of a cricket, forcing the poor cricket to drown itself.
