Regarding that quote which Yuri stated in the video - while it was entirely true in1983, it is no longer true today. Glasnost, and subsequently the internet, have changed that in the ensuing 27 years, just as the USSR no longer exists.That being said, I do appreciate your uploading these videos of Yuri. From the context of history and the KGB, they are quite interesting... and they also remind me of the early 80s when we viewed the Soviets much differently than we do the Russians today.

I agree to a certain extent. First, democracy itself is an illusion to the general public, or way too short lived, because whoever, being rich or poor, does not like democracy still lives and communicates freely inside democracies. You can never guarantee the general public won't choose tyranny. Also, whoever controls information rules the elections. Finally, if capitalism is not just the real market, but a materialist ideology like many so-called libertarians advocate, it is Satanist.

Democracy is a widely-tossed word. Democracy can mean many things. Democracy literally means "people's rule", it's latin. A republic can be ruled by the people, but it can also be the opposite. The same with a democracy. Even North-korea portrays itself as a democracy. Here were I come from, we have "democracy" we can vote, but that's it. We decide absolutely nothing.

And I think it should be noted that the "demoralization" Bezmenov often refers to has a dual meaning to it. On the one hand, he's talking about the ability to instill a "loss of hope" among the general population of whatever nation you're trying to bring down but on the other (and this is far more important) demoralization refers to the loosening of society's moral code; particularly sexually but also ethically, religiously and spiritually.

Chavez, castro, China, Iran, NK, etc. They do not denounce those governments, they support them. Here here. Thomas Schuman was wrong though on one thing: the soviet Union failed, he was convinced they would succeed (physically not ideologically) but the USSR collapsed. It is as if the United States is still feeling the effects of disillusionment of Cold War subversion long after the Cold War was over. From what I am hearing from this guy, it is as if ANYONE could come in and finish the job the USSR started.

Yes, what he says is true. But let's not get wrapped up too much in it, and take too far like many others by making claims like the birth of liberalism was a product of Soviet subversion. The soviets most certainly used liberalism to promote their goals, but they didn't create it.
