I play with this racket and I really love it! Coming from the nBlade98 it wasn't to big of a switch, but it gave me a more "solid" feel then the previous version. Since I switched to an 18x20 string pattern I would never go back. The difference to playing a 16x18 pattern is huge! I just love the sweet feeling the racket gives when hitting the ball! I haven't got my hands on the new BLXBlade98 yet, but since it's getting hard to find the KBlade98, switching to the BLX might be the next step!
the falt delpo and in comparison more "spinny" fed FH. I have seeked insp. in their shots because I was sick of my "no pace extreme western FH" which didnt give me a lot of power and demanded a big and tiring swing. I know their playing with wilson rackets and I wondered what u think of them? which do u like the best? is it true that their is not a big difference between the Kfactors and the BLXs? what about Ncode and prostaff? whats the difference, what do u like? and what suits a flat game?
hey will ! have an eastern grip and im currently playing with a technifibre Tfight 325. I like this racket cause it is very stabile and allows me to hit big flat shots... I would describe my game as a mix between delpo and fed (of COURSE on a quit a lower level - my ego is not that big) because I have tried to copy their shots by watching ur slowmo videos of their groundstrokes. THis has improved my game and allowed me to hit more flat. I have a one handed backhand and my FH varies between
I have played with this for quite a while now. Excellent control. very solid feel. I have demoed the new BLX blade 98 and thought it had a really poor feel compared to the K blade. I am sticking with the K blade as I have never had a racquet that I can consistently hit deep with (to within 2 feet or less of the baseline) and make as few mistakes. I sprayed the ball around with the BLX. I only tried it for about 15 minutes but that was enough to let me know that I really didn,t like it.
I am demo-ing this racquet right now....and I like it. I doesn't have a large sweet spot, and feels pretty stiff, but there is a solidness that is very satisfying. i like the accuracy and control, I'm just trying to see if I will be okay generating my own power more than with the Babolat Pure-Drive. The Babolat feels lighter and more forgiving and has a larger sweet spot, but doesn't have the same solid feel and degree of control.
been using this racket for 2 years but I'm moving on. I play off my opponent's power and don't have a ton of power myself, so it's hard for me to be aggressive on floating short balls. if you're tall and thin like me you also might find this racket can be tiring in extremely long rallies because it's fairly heavy. overall this racket has given me mostly good experiences but I'm moving on to something to fit my game a little better
i love this racket i am a junior player and i have a extremly fast swing my coach ex. pro Kristen Schlukibir told me to get this racket also she uses it and she was a pro
i never noticed how much he chokes up on his backhand grip. is that a good thing or is it one of those things that just happens to work for one player.
Of all the racquets I have used over the years, I have that the Kblade has provided the best overall feel, a good mix of power and control. Couple the racquet with Kirschbaum Spiky shark strings and the spin you generate is trememdous. Furthermore, as a player who used to break strings every other week, his string has not broken in 6 months.
I have tested this racket when I was looking for a new racket. I didn't like it at all, but I guess that had more to do with my abilities, or me being used to a wholly different racket. One thing I didn't like at all was that it was relatively hard on my arm - the most uncomfortable racket I've played with so far. I decided to get a Babolat AeroPro Drive Cortex in the end, and I love it (the other candidates in my final selection were the HEAD Microgel Extreme and Prince O3 Speedport Black).
Very interesting - I always thought that string tension dictated control v power. I wonder how this would do in my Irish climate, playing outdoors all year round. Air usually damp and cool outside summer months, balls frequently damp or wet.
And you are correct. Both frame stiffness AND string tension have an impact on control and power. The greater the string tension the greater the control and the lower the power.
I got the Kblade 98 because i broke my nblade 98. A piece of advice: STICK WITH THE NBLADE. The K is good, but no where near as good as the Nblade is.
I am too used to this raquet to change it already! I tried the Kblade once but it was ... let me say it wasn't like a real Blade for me, i dunno... The only raquet I can play with is this one and the wooden Adidas with Ille Nastase written on it ...(the last one only to mess around)
I do own this racket and im in the Uk.- kblade 98. i have lead at 3 and 9 o clock and also inside the grip towards the bottom.
I string it with pro hurricane tour in the mains at 52 pounds and natural gut VS 130 at 54 pounds.
Since i have leaded it , there is more stability and its a great racket for taking a swing and with the string combination , great feel and spin capability.
u should demo the blx blade

but i bought the pure drive gt and i used it and it killed my arm. as soon as i went back to the kblade 98 i felt instant relief
the kblade in my choice i the best raquet

Of the current frames produced, which is most similar to the NBlade? KBlade is much stiffer.
