come on guys i think you all know its a fake. This is a 50% scale model, i know the guy who built it. It looks like a C-130 i know but close up you will see it resembles a Lancaster much more.
if i recall the guys who did it first had problems in the plane so they didnt have time to head for land so they forced it onto the carrier deck. kudos to them for managing to land the large thing on such a small deck
you're exactly right, the carrier landing happened in real life, but I don't think it was the result of an escape from Lebanon (I think) - that part was from a fictitious JAG episode.
30 October 1963 when the U.S. Navy decided to try to land a Hercules on an aircraft carrier, the USS FORRESTAL.Lockheed's only modifications to the original plane included installing a smaller nose-landing gear orifice, an improved anti-skid braking system, and removal of the underwing refueling pods. The crew successfully negotiated 29 touch-and-go landings, 21 unarrested full-stop landings, and 21 unassisted takeoffs.
Fake video you used animator

I can only imagine how slow their approach speed was. But the takeoff...the takeoff defies physics haha.
