  • Fake video you used animator

  • I can only imagine how slow their approach speed was. But the takeoff...the takeoff defies physics haha.

  • I BET THAT CARRIER "BOUNCED" WITH THAT LANDING

  • He must have been using the force...

  • um who ever decided it was a good idea to land OR take off a C-130 on a carrier was high on something ...

  • This would make the C-130 a VSTOL. Top-notch.

  • Now thats some short field performance! Lockheed martin all the way

  • holy shit waht a landing!

  • a c-130 is big but really, its only about 37 feet longer then an F/A-18e/f super hornet

  • come on guys i think you all know its a fake. This is a 50% scale model, i know the guy who built it. It looks like a C-130 i know but close up you will see it resembles a Lancaster much more.

  • amazing.......i thought this was joke..

  • wow wow wow wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn. The pilots had some nerve and serious skill to be able to land that big boy on a carrier... And take off from it :O

  • if i recall the guys who did it first had problems in the plane so they didnt have time to head for land so they forced it onto the carrier deck. kudos to them for managing to land the large thing on such a small deck

  • wow

  • props to the pilots.excuse the pun

  • I bet they have never went so fast with the carrier before towards the wind.

  • yur name is Danny.how do you not know your real name-no offense

  • wasn't this something to do with escaping a country? and they couldn't land anywhere so they went for carrier?

  • think that might be from an episode of JAG - great show, but I don't think that ever happened. :D

  • watch the ending :D it shows real video from carrior camera of it happening! :P

  • you're exactly right, the carrier landing happened in real life, but I don't think it was the result of an escape from Lebanon (I think) - that part was from a fictitious JAG episode.

  • yeah, all i remember is the real thing was involved in escaping a country but not sure which or where

  • NO, it was a test, meat head!

  • 30 October 1963 when the U.S. Navy decided to try to land a Hercules on an aircraft carrier, the USS FORRESTAL.Lockheed's only modifications to the original plane included installing a smaller nose-landing gear orifice, an improved anti-skid braking system, and removal of the underwing refueling pods. The crew successfully negotiated 29 touch-and-go landings, 21 unarrested full-stop landings, and 21 unassisted takeoffs.

    "LOOK MA, NO HOOK."

  • @AURORAPILOT When the plane took off again, did it back up on the runway?

  • @AURORAPILOT without hook, increible! and check de landing out, in a few mettersthe wheels leave the carrier.. i´d never see that like this!

  • all done without a tailhook or catapults. sehr cool.

  • This video looks old. Any date information?

  • 30 October 1963

  • ok thats a bit weird and a bit cool at the same time

  • Mindblowing what a plane like that can do...
