I know! I bought the first trilogy of the books and when I found out there was a movie after I read the trilogy I thought I would watch it. Then I saw that it was only based on the first trilogy so I thought, why not? It won't give ANYTHING away! WTF DID THE GIVE THE WHOLE ENDING AWAY OF STEVE BEING A VAMPIRE???

The movie really pissed me off. The 1st movie is the first 3 books and stuff that happened l8r in the series. They made Darren bout 16 wen he was lik 12 wen he was changed. Evra was suppose 2 b a shy kid w a rough 1st yrs of life but no he was a kid who wanted 2 b a rockstar. They replaced Debbie w that monkey girl, Steve found out Darren wsnt dead on his own not by Tiny, he theatened Darren in the graveyard. N the thing that pissed me off the most was Darren never slept in a coffen. 4get that?

They went up to Book 3, and they changed Murlough holding Evra captive to Murlough holding Rebecca captive

Steve has GRAY Hair not brown.

Murlough is supposed to be wayy fatter.

Agreed that the movie was a piece of shit; Evra was my favorite and what they did to him in the movie made me want to barf and cry. But I don't blame the writer in the slightest for the movie. Hollywood is just shit lately. Hopefully someone in the future will remake it and it'll be brilliant.
