Consoles become outdated after a year. The only reason it costs more is because what we are buying is new. Look how much the PS3 cost during launch. Down to $300? $500 spent right can give you a PC with far more capabilities than a PS3 or Xbox 360. GTA IV was however a really crappy port. I could probably get 25 - 30 FPS on lowest settings. But even so the PS3 has no options to boost graphics like you can on the PC. A decent PC should have no problem.

So tell me why I can run GTA IV on a 5 year old computer? Every console on the market right now is out dated. You might not think that but technology becomes old fast. Plus the game settings are different and limited on consoles. Maybe research about why Crysis wasn't released on any console. Crytek has said the multiplatform Crysis 2 is "touching the hardware limits" of PlayStation 3, and that "there's not much more that you can do".

@WizardsMagic007 you're just barely above the min requirements for running this game on pc and i bet there's a lot of parts with high action where you get choppy, but the console will run it very smoothly all throughout. a 5 year old pc needs to be upgraded to play the newest gen of games smoothly, a 5 year old console plays them very smoothly and there's a lot of big games that are exclusive to consoles. all i want from my console is to play games, my pc will do anything else.

Game needs anti alayzing badly, as for playing with leser quality equipment good luck geting an enjoyable gaming experience. The game is designed to make you buy more stuff, then the next game that comes out, you will need to buy a whole new computer to play it, buy buy buy, im tired fo buying new stuff to play one game at a time. this game should be able to be played with a dual core and a 512 8800

download the new patch and that card should work just fine, this game is a very CPU heavy game though, not GPU. for max performance you need at least a triple core phenom or a core 2 quad. but from what i've seen high end core 2 duo's can run this thing pretty well on decent settings. i have this game form my 360 and its a great game! first in the GTA series to have a legit storyline! its a great buy

Was able to find info on command line hack, was able to open up more memeory on my video card, game looks better, not by a whole lot but better. I do not think the need for higher end video card is the issue, but Rockstar has alway had issues with poor performance in there coding. When I play other high end games the graphics looks perfect, but the graphix on this game are not really all that high end, the cars textures maybe but still I think they tried to fit to much in at once.

good luck, I have 9800 gx2 (it really 2 8800 gt video cards snadwitched together tomake a single card in SLI form) RIP OFF anyway, I also have 4 gigs 6400 ram running a Intel 9450 CPU Quad core, and even though I have ran some command line hacks And the game looks like shit! There are no option for "anti alayzing" so even though I am able to get the grx to look sharp and 40 fps the alayzing ruins it badly! They tried fit to much content in at once and bad coding that ruins look on any system.
