In 2007, I wonder if I got called to "c'mon on down!" because I made up a t-shirt with a photo of a contestant playing it, and I had printed on the shirt "Hey, Bob...I understand the Check Game!"
No, the prize value of the trip was $3,596, he wrote the check for 2,500, and the total was 6,096. He was over by $96.00. He lost the game. How would he have won this game with $4.00 to spare??? It wouldn't be possible.
Bob had stated that the production staff would often find voided checks in the studio trash cans, even though he encourages contestants to keep them as souvenirs (whether they win or not, since those checks can't be cashed being that the date is invalid and the checks all have the same serial number.
If Joe would have written the check between $1,404-$2,404 and price to Acapulco was $3,596, the total would have been $5,000 to $6,000. But he lost by $96 dollars? That's a damn shame!
I Agree With You QuickMan, Alot Of Fans Say They Been Watching All Their Lives, So When This Game Comes Up Bob Will Test Their Knowledge To See If They Know This Game, And It Was Obvious This Guy Has Never Seen The Game Before, Because He Wrote The Cheque For $5,000!! And Bob Had To Explain It Further, Such A Simple And Easy Game to Understand But Yet, It Seems To Be the Hardest
There was one lady who lost the check game by five dollars. The total ended up being 4995

The contestant on this episode has decided not to take the "Void" check home with him. What a shame.

I like how Bob puts contestants to the test when he asks if they know how to play the check game and to find out they don't!

I like this game. It's funny to see the people who can't figure it out, and you get to keep the check!

better to be over by $96.00 THEN $2000.00 5000 + 3500 makes= 8500 so he would of been over by 2000 well! i think you get it lol

I don't get it. Five or ten years ago, every contestant understood what to do after about five seconds. THIS ISN'T HARD.
