I hate the garden scene where Brian hits Michael. He deserved getting punched for what he said about Justin, and when they're all so mean to him, telling him to leave, Brian just takes it, and doesn't say anything like, "but you should have heard what he said about Justin"! If they knew, I'm sure they would have felt different, and not be so rough on Brian. But once again, Brian takes the blame for everything...*sigh*

IMHO- I think Brian can say it to other people cause it's a 'different' kind of Love...You're giving 'less' of yourself....But when you are IN love...well it's more 'Intense'...more 'scary'.....you're more 'vulnerable'...You have no control over it...It just happens, and if you're 'emotionally damaged' like Brian is....You tend to reject/run from it, cause of how you 'truly' see yourself exp: not deserving of it!!!

After all , Brian understood why Justin left him ... maybe that's one of the reasons why he punched Michael.

In addition , it was very annoying when Michael talked about Justin's life as an unworthy thing. His life and well-being were too important for Brian and he was ready to defend them, even against his best friend .

I'm sure Justin knew why michael was punched like that , because in the ep.308, he was pretty sure of what he said to Brian : " you would go on loving me even after i was gone"

@cdlgirl29 Yes, and even tried to protect him from Ben when he wanted to hit him. Brian and Vic have a relationship we never really got to see much of, but it comes out every once in a while. (like in season 4, for example)

In one of the first episodes in season 1, where Brian is called to Deb's house to get Justin, the first thing he does when he comes in the kitchen, is touch Vic's shoulder, and look at him, in a sort of, "how are you doing"-gesture. Brian has so much respect for Vic.
