This is bogus, I don't know why these models are even here. Thats' in the parking lot of the Rio Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. But those models Honda CR-V and Accord Diesel are not and will not be available here. Honda announced they are scratching plans to bring any passenger diesels to USA.
@trangenusa - Check the description ... the cars were at the Alternative Fuels & Vehicles conference to give attendees a hint of what we've been missing here in the USA. With an increasing number of manufacturers bringing clean diesels to America, perhaps Honda might reconsider their position. How cool would it be to have a diesel-powered CR-Z?
@mpgomatic diesels are reliable but unfortunately finding them is like playing the lottery here mercedes, jeep, and VW are the only ones with diesels or made diesels here, i would buy a honda or a dodge grand caravan with a diesel like in europe, but unfortunately i dont know if any cars will be made with diesels in the usa anymore
@mpgomatic I say it would be awesome, if you were to ask me. That is, to have a diesel powered CR-Z, along with many other passenger cars from many other brands have diesel engines as an option.
Wouldn't it be a nice (or even smart) move to contact the car companies and show the demand for these types of engines for passenger cars here in America?
@silac1993 They're getting it, slowly but surely. Hopefully the upcoming Mazda Skyactiv diesels, Jeep diesels, and Chevy Cruze diesel catch on.
America needs to produce more diesel fuel and stabilize prices. Domestic renewable diesel fuel production is key. This is a jobs issue. Growing our own diesel fuel locally, rather than pumping Canadian tar sand oil through the proposed KeystoneXL pipeline to the Gulf of Mexico (for export!) will create far more jobs.
@Jthumper i've heard rumors that honda was planning on selling a diesel pilot, ridgeline, and oddysee in the US. but it never happened. i'd like it if they did...

We get alot of snow where i live, and the 50 mile one way commute makes it tough to drive a gas 4x4 so my eyes are on a diesel pilot or CRV
