Rush is so amazing. How can they just create so many songs with an amazing drum, bass, and guitar line? It's especially amazing because the bass is different than the guitar a lot of the time.

Say, Paulie, how do you prevent noise bouncing in your studio room? I see you have walls relatively close to your kit, including right in front of it. Are they muffled to absorb the noise and hence prevent bouncing/feedback?

I have my kit in my basement and although i don't have a wall right in front of my set sometimes it seems as if the noise (sound waves) is bouncing and even interfering with my stereo (the CDs jump or skip and it is not from vibration or pulses. Could it be the sound waves?

u could use it on a lot of rush songs like far cry,one little victory, songs where neil goes on the ride and the hi hats.and it works good for any song with double bass beacause u dont have to worry about closing ur main hi hats

On one side, we have a couple a little older than us who are totally cool with it and when my band used to rehearse in our basement from 7-10 at night, used to comment on how good we sounded. The neighbours on the other side are old and from a European country to which they return for approximately 6-9 months of the year which eliminates that problem. I also never play on a nice quiet summer day, or with any windows open and I've done some minor soundproofing. 5 Years, No complaints.

Oh yeah, for sure. There are four glaring errors in there. I just wanted to be done with it. To tell the truth, I ONLY did it because dozens of people asked me to. I don't really like the album very much. Yes, it was the arrival of Neil and eons better than their debut, but it's mainly a guitar album. I'm sure I'll get lambasted when I post [my version] of By-Tor. LOL!!!

In case anyone wonders where the "glaring errors" are that I'm referring to:

1:10 crash cymbal is one beat late

2:13 fill is wrong

3:03 confused look on my face, hesitation on splash

4:03 looks like I'm going to hit the crash, but at the very last instant, I hit hit the floor tom, it's right, but looks ridiculous.

Like I said, I'm getting a little less anal and just letting it hang out.

I can understand why you didn't do a commentary for it... Considering that I play a lot of guitar by feel, its the only way to go. Bring on By-Tor and fuggeddaboutit!

The sound is much, much better, I can hear every beat and crash, and ride ride sounds perfect. Stick with this setup, it works great!
