The answer: Hungarian people have suffered much through history, so our anthem is slow, melodic and sad, and of course, beautiful. The USA didn't suffer.

I just started crying when I've heard the first couple notes! It's been a long time since I've seen my country, and I really want to go visit! It seems, God does not hear your anthem. Insteed going into the futer, in a world withought enimies, HU from today goes backwards, Slovakia and Transylvania and Woiewodina will never be Hungarian again. So, take a more optimistic anthem.

@sbmd750 Dear sbmd750, you may have misunderstood the text of the Hungarian National Anthem. It was written in the 19th century and the Treaty of Trianon took place in 1920 so including our wish of getting back e. g. Transylvania would have been a tiny bit illogical. ;-)

In my opinion, an item is important rather because of traditional reasons and it is not necessarily a way of thinking of people.

I was born in England juat after the revolution in 56. I grew up yearning to go back. Because of communist rule and being in foster care I wasn,t allowed back. In 2010, I found my family in Hungary...They had been looking for me too after 49 yrs! Great times ahead! I'm taking my daughters this year to meet the family.

Austria-Hungary was a bad political move, Romano-Hungary would have sound better and more power full. :) Probably Habsburgs, Russians, Ottomans, would have kiss our asses if we would have been loyal allies against them, too bad that history turned us in different ways, in ways that now today some Hungarians and Romanians hate each other.
