Some petroglyphs like this one I believe depicts the Indians running away from the deluge of a giant tsunami after the polar shift...I was told by an Elder in a vision to seek shelter from the coming apocalypse...
@pat52007 I believe you and your elder are correct. I have been studying petroglyphs from around the world, and many of them carry the same theme: A spiral in the sky will be seen, and those in low country will drown, so go to where the goats roam. There is also a theme of food in low supply, and I think within many of these glyphs is a key to locating food. I have personally made a choice to move to the rockies above 7000 ft; my family and I moved here 10 months ago. I sleep well at night.

There have also been spirals recentely reported in the skies of NZ, Russia and ofcourse we have the one in Norway too. I am also high up on a mountain range and even know of caves nearby incase of solar flares...the Mayans talk of them too. Peace.
It reminds me of a time without light when the pa-pi tribal ancestors were led by a Piute hero, God or Prophet to the top of a Mesa where he shot three arrows into the sky to bring the light back. THe black of the magpie represents this darkness and the white streak the light returning. IS this a Hopi tale? Mail me.
I'm hopi, I have been educated in much of hopi philosophy and logic in the stories of prophecy and understand the immense significance's. The hieroglyph's ending is ambiguous to illustrate that we as a society will always have two fundamental choices no matter how we define them, it just our nature to do so. What we must realize is our individual effect on each other and everything that can be effected. If it feels right and no being is harmed out of vain it's probably right.
I ve been there to its a very important site. I did take images back in the 90s, however I respect the Hopi's wish to keep this and other sites secret. I have never published them. The Hopi are waiting unti the right time to pass on info to the rest of the world. I think with 2012 coming up we might here from them.
Excellent, thanks. So many places online have these in cartoon form and not accurate. All these petroglyphs around the world are in my opinion immensly important. Surely whoever put the glyph there meant for it to be seen by all? Wouldn't you tube be today's equivalent of putting an image on a rock for all to see?
I see a split in time lines. I see a world renewed with good intention. I see negativity/badness/cruelty/inhumanity zigzagging off somewhere else.
These images were both fascinating and fulfilling for me to see. I also visited this site back in 2000 with a local Hopi Kachina carver who was our guide.
At that time he told me I couldn't take any photos,except one image.
At that time I was traveling to several Anasazi sites and compiling photos and research for a series of books.
My question is, how did you achive permission to record these images where it had been previously restricted?
