I caught smoking in public and since I broke the smoking band they can confiscate my clothes, jewelry, cash and my smart phone. But a bill to congress or senate to make smoking bans illegal!

The other day I locked up a guy for warrants and no driver's license - found some weed in his glove box - he was begging me to drive him to his house so he could get $2,000 cash he had stashed away to help pay for his bond - if I was that bad, I would have done it, then served him with his forfeiture papers at the police station... trust me, i thought about it... but I didnt.... I told him I couldnt drive him home..... instead I seized the $200 he already had on him and told him he was lucky!

I'm sure that the warrants were unrelated to drugs and the amount of pot was obviousely less than a felony so basically you saying you took money that was not really the proceeds of illegal activity. This is what happens when we allow our politicians to enact laws that violate the Constitution. Forfeiture laws are a violation of the Fourth Amendment. no property is to be seized without a warrant specifying exactly what is being sought.

Obviously, these cops were not members of the Oath Keepers. Now you see why we need to have military and law enforcement officers that will abide by the law, especially the Supreme Law of the Land, the Constitution.

Civil asset forfeiture is a means that is used to provide law enforcement agencies with equipment they can't afford to buy for themselves. They take guns, boats, houses, cash or anything else they want. Sometimes they sell it off and sometimes they keep it for their own use. They're not going to voluntarily stop such a lucrative practice and no other gov agency will stop it because they benefit too

I'm sure that is only because this was made public and makes the cops and the state look like the evil parasites they are.
