  • how do i hook my midi keyboard up to the mashine.???

  • sick snare. I want a mashine looks sicker than FL Studio and reason im not sure about MPC thou

  • This Is The Shit ... DAW / Soundcard / Mixer / MASCHINE / Turntable / MIDI-Keyboard ... That's all you need ... The Newest Edition (newest updates) wich I own and you WILL take it to another level ... Go get it now ... If you know your way around a groovebox you will love it instantly ... if you don't you will fall in love with it soon ... sounds are insane (7GB Library) ... And if you wanna top it ... get NI Guitar Rig wich you can implement in MASCHINE easily ... Drums & Baseline Thas' Hip Hop

  • I made a beat with that sample .. My beat shittin gravy on his

  • @banghardboyz is it a competition? this mans nice enough to show beginners like me how to start somewhere

  • So where would I connect my keyboard? Please answer, I'm very concerned

  • this is why i dont waste time with FL's SLICEX

  • i want this

  • How do I make it so that my samples don't overlap?

  • @ThatFliWhiteGuy to make the pads cut each other off, click on the modules tab, and you'll see something called 'CHOKE GRP' change it to '1' on the pads you want it choke group one, '2' for a different choke group etc. hope that helped.

  • THAT IS A DOPE BEAT!!!

  • shame the dude is northern

  • what is that sample plz??? I got a killer beat running through my head right now

  • what keyboard are you using with it?

  • i need to get this!!!!!

  • WHERE DOES HE GET THOSE WONDERFULL SAMPLES....JOKER VOICE

  • @arcadeMUZIK1 charity shops!

  • @ChrisAlanCartledge WHAT SAMPLE IS THIS MANN

  • nice chop. haha. you just need better drums.

  • @DZA9mm thanks - the drums are a stock kit, whilst not perfect Maschine's got some of the best stock kits I've heard!

  • @ChrisAlanCartledge aha cool! ill take your word for it! great vid!!

  • hey guys, i was just wondering if most people sample in mono or stereo.

    thanks :)

  • @mab1ro It depends on what you're sampling - individual sounds such as bass and drum hits are best sampled in mono, orchestral sections can often sound more alive sampled in stereo, but it depends how your chopping suits the sample...

  • Dope Beat

  • @RoadsArt thank you!

  • great vid nice chops and smoove drums. good tune, will check out the skratchworx site,

  • @eyeseafree thanks!

  • how do you set a 2bar count in

  • Hey how do you get native instruments to recognize your turntable?

  • just use ableton

  • @rupertshean i agree

  • @rupertshean if your workflow is very hands on and especially if it revolves around sampling and slicing samples similarly to how I have in this video, I think Maschine is a little faster - it's down to the individual though, and using Maschine as a plugin in Live is a fantastic way to get the best of both worlds.

  • anybody know if you can have the maschine software loaded onto two computers? i have a imac and a neko and i want to use the maschine with both..

  • Where is the turntable plugged in?

  • @PandemicTheorem Prolly into maschine through midi inputs

  • @PandemicTheorem you plug it in you sound card

  • This is almost convincing me to trade in my MPC 1000 for this Maschine.

  • Reminds me a lot of Ableton live. Seems like you can get into a nice work flow if you invest the time into this software. No matter what we use, we all just want to make good music.

  • I'm gonna replace my MPC2000XL with this Mashine!!!

  • Wait ...do you have to have a turntable to sample or can u sample from anything like the internet or put a file in to maschine and chop it up??

  • @watchoutguy123 you can sample from inputs like turntable, ipod etc. and you can have a .wav file opened in it.

  • yes

  • .. the new update makes everything in this video obsolete. it is much nicer now. ;)

  • @flux302 version 1.5 did indeed completely rework the sample slicing options and improve MIDI editing, which are a lot easier to work with. I'm not sure about it making everything in this video 'obsolete' though!

  • thanks, because of you, i`m in love with this Thing. :)

  • RT @dshafro I´m wating RIGHT NOW FOR THE DELIVERY - please hurry up guys ^^

  • phenomenal...going to buy this now :D thanks

  • can i use maschine on apple in logic?

  • @MRVISDOME

yes you can use in logic. it works just like a plugin and works well. i do it all the time

  • @MRVISDOME yes

  • @MRVISDOME Yes,

  • @MRVISDOME

yes maschine works in any daw

  • @MRVISDOME Yes but only as a MIDI controller it wont be the same as the software that came with it

  • @MRVISDOME yes it comes up as a vst

  • @MRVISDOME No, get out.

  • @MRVISDOME Yes, Maschine works in Logic as an audio unit or as a standalone application.

  • How do you record directly into machine from a turntable?

  • Via your soundcard.

  • how do you comapre this(in matter of sound) with real analog grooveboxes?

  • Maschine is fairly transparent. Not totally, but it's pretty flat- general quality of its stepping and summing etc is very good as with all NI products. Of course, the output of the audio interface you use will have as much to do with the quality of audio you receive from it. That said, sample a 'real analog' (and beware what you class as 'analog' as you may be surprised as to how digital many classic boxes are) and you'll hear the quality of your interface more than Maschine...

  • wow this is dope ! nice work!

  • Sorry for the delayed response to some of these folks!

    - You can layer samples on one pad, but you need to do it with the software mapping window otherwise you just switch samples.

    - Guess the sample and I'll tell you if you're right! ; )

    - This is on OS X 10.5, sorry I can't help there.

Thanks for the kind words too. I'm glad the video helps!

  • are you using maschine under windows vista or windows xp? i can't get mine to work with windows vista at all.

  • Fucking amazing bro. im diggin the groove. I want one soooo bad. I saw it at last years NAMM in Cali. It seems so user friendly and intuitive. Im gonna get a new Mac Book, then the Machine will be my next purchase. thanks for posting the vid up homie.

  • how to make a own song???

  • Chris what is the song used on this video

  • Great vid Chris. Hey, does anyone know if you can layer sounds/samples on maschine without having to hit 2 keys at one time?

  • That looks fresh!

  • Hi Hipnova, Maschine does have a fairly high system toll. I had no problems with a 2.4ghz c2duo w/2ghz ram (a MacBook, with 5400rpm hdd), but running particularly large and stressful projects stably required a 384 sample buffer for onboard sound. Your mileage will vary with a dedicated audio interface. Hope this helps!

  • This is what I've been looking for. There's plenty of videos of people playing techno tracks with Maschine, but I've been wondering how it handles the grit and grime.

Just curious if anyone knows if Maschine is very CPU intensive when you get into the higher track counts. Thanks.

  • Excellent vid!Props!

    Freshcuts

  • i don't know why akia haven't done this with the mpcs intergrate it with the computer

  • Good vid chris, nice work on the review as well.

My hat tips to you and giz :D
