  • i literally just made a playlist of your songs. u rock!!

    From:hood To:good

  • haha dude this is perrrrfect i love it. there is an 8-bit version of converge's "concubine" which first got me into this 8bit shit. i love it...do some more volta!!!

  • is there a way to do a 16bit one, i think it would sound a little better..?

  • all i can think of is the Legend Of Zelda

  • This is great. Thanks.

  • this is SO COOL!

  • Please do Cotopaxi if you have time! Thanks!

  • check out the original version of teflon by omar rodriguez lopez, called " a story teeth rotted for" ,its kinda similar... this 8 bit version could b one of omar's experiment anyway

  • This is the best one you've made so far! Lots of ambience and different layers is what makes it sound really great.

Do you compose these all manually or is there like a Reason / Pro Tools plugin to convert mp3 into 8-bit chiptune or something? I'm still not clear on how you make these and what hardware / software is required but I would love to try it myself.

  • @nembutals This is how I suspect it was done: Get guitar pro files of the songs (found on ultimateguitar), and export tracks as MIDI. Put into sequencer, and use free chiptune VST such as "Magical 8bit Plug" on each track. Use different wave shapes for each instrument. Guitar would be saw wave, Cymbal would be a noise wave ect

  • LOL these make me smile all the time

  • Ok never mind my last comment asking how, I just watched twilight as my guide! Very cool

  • @mkrhcp The video for twilight as my guide isn't how it's done, that's just a bit of visualization software to give people something to look at, just like the stuff in this video.

I'm glad you like my stuff, I don't have the time to write my own stuff right now (life is very busy) but thank you for asking, I may someday upload some of my own work.

As for how it is done I use a verity of things. I think I have explained it in another video (I get asked it a lot) Or it may be on my page.

  • Man this is f***ing awesome! As are all of your other songs. I'd love to see the process of you recording one of these. I cant believe your doing all of this 8-bit. How is it even done? step recording? or programmed into a drum machine? Regardless of how its just awesome. Do you have any original music?

  • Awesome :D

  • glad to see you back with more!

  • Yes. Just, yes.

  • Cool, I nominate Luciforms for the next one.

  • So amazing. I've been wanting this for weeks. Thanks a bunch, Mhztransmission.

  • @pimpsauce57 You're very welcome

  • Cool as always. Someone should programe a game with rpgmaker including tmv songs only. Recreating Frances or something as the story line. Would be epic. But i'm way too lazy for this.

  • @Sorrki Ha, you not tempted to give it a go? You are more than welcome to use my songs.
