  • Come to Southest Asia today-you can't be looked upon as good Ameicans. After all the murders in the US, the filthy talk on TV, and LA Ink, and such, Asians look at us as if there is something wrong with us. We are not good Americans over here anymore. Believe me-I have been living in Viet Nam for 9 years. TV and the media have driven America to its lowest depths. Secondly-Americans need to learn how to dress from the Vietnamese, and the women put Ameican women to shame as for being friendly.

  • @MrJodyh54 just why have you decided to live in vietnam for 9 years, afraid to come home, because of some reason that you do not want to live up to. the USA medium did a very bad job about vietnam, but it is up to the rest of the world to figure out what we are talking about, and if the USA is so bad why does every country in the world always ask the USA for help, no matter what the problem is, the USA is always to be there. and the women of the USA dress just fine. &just how FRIENDLY are they

  • @rosemarie443 I have send you an email concerning. I was asked to come here to teach by the US Government. Do you need a copy of my criminal background check signed by Condoleezza Rice? I am American patriot-but don't agree with what is happening to the culture. Vietnamese women dress with makeup and heels, and all Vietnamese dress nice. Tell me you can see this at a US mall on Saturday? Vietnamese women will talk to a man anytime-anywhere and smile. Can you say this the US?

  • @MrJodyh54 i really can not tell what you are talking about, you say one thing and then in the other line you something else that does not match.and no i don't meet anybody for coffee. you should explain yourself better than you have up to now

  • @rosemarie443 You asked what the difference was in Vietnamese and American women-this I stated. You stated maybe I was afraid to return to America-I answered that. You state how patriot you are (by how great Amierica was) I stated I am a patriot also and support the govenment. Is that so hard to comprehend? The invite was to test you. You see, a Vietnamese woman would have accepted, if she was married she would have brought her husband or boyfriend to meet me. So now you see the difference? End.

  • @MrJodyh54 no i really did not aske the difference because there is none. a vietnamese woman should not take a invite from anybody on the internet. and i would not either. and you say you are a patriot to what country? not the USA

  • @rosemarie443 Look, you asked "how friendly are they" Is that not enough to assume you need to know the difference. You know nothing about me. After 9 years in Southeast Asia, travelling in 9 of its countries with a master degree in Cultures and Modern Languages of East Asia, you try tol argue with me that they are the same. You have never been here so I can you have any credintials to argue. End of conversation.

  • @MrJodyh54 i am not arguing with you, i am stating my opinion. and no woman vietnamese or american or any other etc, should take a invation from anybody on the internet. I know nothing about you and i do not want to learn anything about you, because you seem to have a weird mind.

  • @MrJodyh54 I said 'end of conversation' as you seem so immature and unprofessional. Thats the difference between US and Vietnamese women-Vietnamese women are not 'stuck on themselves' like you seem to be. The problem with you comprehending my messages is that your in a small world-seems to be all your own too. You need to grow up it seems, and as stated-you have absolutely no Asian experience-so how can you even think you know something about Asian women. Get a life!

  • @rosemarie443 PS.-I will be returning in April. Maybe we can meet sometime for coffee and I will tell you about life here over. Is that ok?

    Regards,

    Jody

  • I remember when these songs first came out. It was so strange to hear that actually supported the service personnel. I loved these songs. Thanks so much for posting. You brought back lots of memories.

  • Does anyone know the guitar chords to this song!?!?

  • im sad now :(

  • my poor mother hears this song day & night...i wish there were female GBs....id do anything to be one...

  • I love this song! I love all of Sgt Barry Sadlers songs. This The Green Beret and The A Team are my favorites. I always cry when I hear this song. I always am sad when people post negative comments about America, and wars. I love America, and I am proud to be an American. Songs like these ones are meant to be Patriotic. I love that no one has disliked this. RIP soldiers that have died and Thank you, all soldiers past and now, on behalf of everybody. You shouldnt have to face that. Thank you.

  • @khills15 I know how you feel, and i thank the soldiers too.

  • @khills15 you get it brother, you get it. :-)

  • Loved that whole album, my dad had it on reel to reel. I don't care if he shot Lee Emerson dead, he served thirty days for it and now people need to just forget about it.

  • Great song by a man that was one hell of a soldier - barry sadler!!!

  • In memory of Cruz Martinez Ssgt. 82nd Airborn, Viet Nam Vet. 1967-1969 RIP 2005

This was one of his favorites and talked of many stories of this rough country, he has no more painfull memories because he is resting in peace with his honor and is free from it all

  • He sounds a little high pitched. Is this off a record? Sounds like a 33 played at 45.

  • I also think so

  • no it is his normal voice. i had the original lp

  • @RyliceRacc00 Is that not Kosher

  • @RyliceRacc00 and

    whats your point

  • Brilliant song but there are a couple of corrections to the words if you will permit me to say. 1st is line four - Who sure did fail - I think should read "whose chute did fail" and the line - No longer will he be sore should read "No longer will he be soarin".

  • @Firefox1701e Thank you

  • @00000q 1. He says-"who sure did fail". He is talking about the trooper-not the chute.

    2. No- he says "no longer will he be sore". Again, talking about the trooper.

  • hehe I'm the first one to ever put these lyrics on the internet. Kinda sad actually...

  • I love the video, but Sadler's songs have stayed with me ever since they first came out. I was a young mother whose husband was on a submarine in the South China Sea. I think his songs are tributes to all of our living (and dead) service people.

  • No matter what. If your in a war, you or someone else have to die.

  • always proud of my comrades

  • I have never forgotten SSgt. Barry Sadler for reels

  • im proud of what he did so that i can do what i want. i too did my time and would do it again ,if i was needed. rest in peace my comrade, may you see all your freinds and family again!

  • Great song, even better pictures...

  • Where did you get some of these pictures? I am pretty sure I have never seen some of these before... were they all published or is this a private collection?

  • Comment removed

  • Great I love it.....greetings from Austria / Europe
