ok i stand corrected, i did some research and some of the later models did in fact have the glass cockpit while the majority has a traditonal MD-80 looking cockpit

Actually Saudi Arabian was the only customer that received the MD-90 with glass cockpit,

YES IT IS A (wonderful) MD-90!!!

It is not a B717, look at the overhead panel!

All the other MD-90s share the same MD-88 cockpit layout, except for some changes, like the engine start switches and modified center tank fuel pumps.

Absolutely a wonderful bird that would have deserved much much more fortune.

If you are a Pilot then take note of this, if you are not then ignore my comments.

1) Hands should be on throttle, ALWAYS.

2) Hands should be on controls, ALWAYS.

3) Don't wait until you are warned by Auto Pilot to perform, eg: NAV1 / Gear and so on.

You're probably confused with the cockpit maybe? I think Saudia's MD90s were configured to have B717 style cockpits with all the LCD screens instead of gauges.

That's what I thought, until I checked cockpit photos from airliners.nt website. A lot of MD90 cockpits have screens and gauges mixed into the cockpit so most MD90 aren't full glass glass cockpit dislays.

ya MD-80's are easily confused with md 90's md 80's are very old planes but MD-90's are fairly new like built in the mid 90's

No most MD-90's have a similar cockpit to the MD-88, a semi-glass cockpit if you will. The Saudi MD-90's, as shown, are the exception closer to the 717/MD-11.
