i agree with you.. and id like to add another parallel: that 'holy documents' are always being 'amended'. we have always been amending our constitution just how the original bible was changed, ie: omitting the book of enoch etc. and then adding a whole new testament with new sets of rules and sweeping some of the old rules under the rug. food for thought^^

There are some irrational ideas in the Constitution, but I don't remember anything about equality being created equal. The irrational dogma of the Constitution is that we were born with rights that can't be infringed. We accept this based on no evidence, but it works.

I agree there. I also am a Constitutionalist, but I believe that all the founding documents are a part of my belief system. I especially like the Federalist papers. I'm a bit disappointed in how much the Federal government has grown, but I don't want to see it go.
