  • Actually, local actor Bruce Atkins plays the Sheriff. "Little Rascals" Spanky McFarland is not actually in this movie, but Elaine "Spanky" McFarlane from the music group plays a bartender. She lays a smackdown on wrestler Dickie Steinborn in her scene.

  • I like the squeeling tires soound effects on the dirt/grass/gravel....good movie though.

  • Trivia buffs will notice the heavy-set sheriff at the beginning of the clip is none other than George "Spanky" McFarland, formerly of The Little Rascals!

  • This has GOT to be filmed in Georgia. I see too many things like propane tanks and railroad crossings (with no lights) that aren't seen that much in California. Waylon did a good job with the score.

  • I love classic cars real steel and metal not like the crap now-a-days you can't even go over speed bumps fast without the whole car Falling apart

  • sounds like the same highway patrolman from Smokey and the Bandit

  • @RicosDomeTown dirt roads are often hard packed under the layer of dust, its actually pretty easy to squeal tires on them.... unless they've just been graded.

  • this isnt a car chase its a boat race ..big o' plymouth boats..heavy chevy's tooo lol

  • 4:38 & 5:32 AWSOME. Try that in a car today and your gonna have to come up with a helluva good lie for progressive.

  • Yes it did...in fact a lot of the actors in Moonrunners were also on the Dukes from time to time....

  • so did this movie started the dukes of hazard tv show?

  • you got a redneck version of Jack Nicholson, and a redneck cop version of Ben Stiller...the one in the unmarked cop car

  • Go to the channel Moonrunners if you want to watch the whole movie.

  • Now that looks like a real car chase there....

  • LOOKS LIKE ONE BIG PLYMOUTH COMMERCIAL

  • I want to see more full movies on youtube about cars like dirty mary crazy larry.I pay for the internet I pay for virus protection I pay pay pay. If you have to click on every ten min. whats the harm?

  • Thx for posting this movie ....awesome movie

  • The one guy driving the car in the first scene here was in the Dukes Episode "Jude Emery" and was one Snake Harmon's (a villian) henchmen. Anyone else notice that?

  • @Rockord79 yes... good call.

  • It's a movie that Dukes of Hazzard was based off of. It uses the same source material (Jerry Rushing's history, if you want to look it up) and so it has a lot of the same themes, characters, and stuff like that, with some name changes.

  • i have this movie on my you tube page i all ask is for any vinatge tom green videos

  • Heads Up Good People this account has been suspended and you wont get anything.

Shame I woulda like to see the whole movie.

  • I want to know the name of the first song. I just can´t find it. Can you all help me?

  • "Slow rolling low" by waylon jennings

  • This was filmed around my hometown of Newnan, Ga in Coweta and Fayette counties.

  • Did I mention that this background music rocks!!!!

  • That's Waylon Jennings' band The Waylors supplying the music for the movie like they did the first few episodes of Dukes of Hazzard when they filmed in Georgia. Ralph Mooney on steel guitar is a genius. I agree, I'd like to have a CD of the background music for interstate cruising, but I'm afraid I'd get a lot of speeding tickets listening to it!

  • @noliejames1980 When I'm cruising around on dirt roads in the country in my old truck, I can't help but hear this background music and imagine seeing the general lee or another shine-runner car come flying out from nowhere.

  • @noliejames1980 the 1st song is lighting rod by Jerry Reed

  • @rescue283 The 2nd one!

  • @noliejames1980 It's better for me if I ain't got driving license lol :D :D I'd get a ticket a day if I went out listenin' to country!!! How can u cointain urself from runnin when u got a Waylors made soundtrack in ur stereo? :D ahhahahaha!

  • @noliejames1980 Wow, thanks for the Waylors info ! Did you also notice Jerry Reed's "lightning rod" starts at 1:46 ? if you want to watch him play this, there's some 1977 footage on a show called "pop goes the country" here on youtube. paste on /watch?v=qOGiW-y-Vhs&NR=1

  • The background music needs to be put on a CD & sold!!!

  • @moonrunner1972 Couldn't agree more.
