@ninskimig123 Estoy totalmente de acuerdo contigo, totally agree with you. I mean, her perfomance in "A Star Is Born" (1954) was really terrific. Anyway, me alegro por Grace: talentosa, preciosa y gran actuación, aunque la de Judy pasó a la historia.
@ninskimig123 It's spanish, but no problem. Anyway, we both are agree: Judy was best in her perfomance. You should learn another language, is terrific when you can understand other people, like I understand you, no offense. By the way, great taste in movies. El español es un gran idioma.
@HJGO261190 I'm actually Danish, so I speak danish (of course) then I speak english, a little german, and next year I'm gonna learn to speak french :) so I know my way around other languages ;P
one of the most hotly debated best actress wins in history. there are MANY who think judy garland was robbed for a star is born, and that the hollywood bigwigs who hated her were instrumental in her loss.
@LucLeFou Oh, yes. According to the book "Made in Hollywood", by James Bacon, Humphrey bogart launched a huge campaign even threatened some members of the academy to promote his performance in "The African Queen" (1951). The entire cast of "A Streetcar Named Desire" won the Oscar, except Marlon. Three years later he won for his amazing perfomance in "On the Waterfront" (1954) and 18 years later for "The Godfather" (1972).
The same way people i feel a about Judy garland losing the Oscar is the same way I feel about Kate Winslet not winning for titanic.
