I totally agree with your words, It's not a effective way to contain China by giving India more nucular power. As a result of the rapid development of China's military, I believe India will rather unite with China than being used by USA. Besides, crossing over South Asia is not China's ambtion, they want Pacific Ocean!
What would happen to Pakistan if India and China unite against the west?? Would China sell its weapons to Pakistan anymore?? Since Pakistan is the largest market for Chinese weapons.
I don't think India would unite with China. Not unless China becomes a secular democracy or something, in which case US won't need to contain China either.
"hope India to contain China" is a really silly idea. The US never know to learn from the history. Three decades ago, the US incorperated China into the world system to handle the USSR. Now China and Russia stand together. The US is giving up its influence on Asia, lol. Thank God gave the USA a retarded president for eight years~~~
I think you are wrong. India and China have had constant enmity for over 40 years now. The reason why India built its nuclear bombs in the first place is to counter China and not Pakistan. Even though both countries cannot go to war since they are economically dependent but there will a challenge in power in that region. As long as India is wary of China and vice-versa, USA will have good relations with India & will be a great ally. As for Russia, 70% of their weapons are sold 2 India.
Hehe! The US is really annoying. Hehe. But India is Economically Independent to China. Hahaha! India gets more from the US and I think it knows that too. Anyway I think relations with China today are good. India is just taking the opportunity to get cheaper energy and it was able to remove the strings attached that the US usually do to actually enslave other people. India is still hoping to join the SCO and is an Observer state.
SCO is not really a serious forum. Even one of its main participants, Russia doesn't put much trust in China. Observer state in SCO is maintained by both US and India just like they do in ASEAN. That doesn mean they wanna join the group. The name speaks for itself. 'Observer' means they are there to observe.
USA is never a good ally of India. Indeed, India is only a card in USA's hand.Don't you think you feel too good about your country? Let's wait and see Indian people want to be played as a card or they want to gain their own political autonomy. I bet the think tank of your government is more intelligent than you. :P
Well USA will never have direct control over India. Since India is a huge and strong country with over 1 billion people I doubt if India will ever become a puppet state of USA. Rather in the process USA will become messed up. In a few years time India would be a key world player. USA with its messed up policy and double standards wouldn't be able to tackle such situations. If they are smart enough then they'll want to form an alliance with India and rather not break it.
lol india always takes both!

India is too big and strong to be a puppet of any country. But I prefer India allying with a democracy rather than a communist country.
