I totally agree with your words, It's not a effective way to contain China by giving India more nucular power. As a result of the rapid development of China's military, I believe India will rather unite with China than being used by USA. I think you are wrong. India and China have had constant enmity for over 40 years now. The reason why India built its nuclear bombs in the first place is to counter China and not Pakistan. Even though both countries cannot go to war since they are economically dependent but there will a challenge in power in that region. As long as India is wary of China and vice-versa, USA will have good relations with India & will be a great ally. As for Russia, 70% of their weapons are sold 2 India.

Hehe! The US is really annoying. Hehe. But India is Economically Independent to China. Hahaha! India gets more from the US and I think it knows that too. Anyway I think relations with China today are good. India is just taking the opportunity to get cheaper energy and it was able to remove the strings attached that the US usually do to actually enslave other people. India is still hoping to join the SCO and is an Observer state.

SCO is not really a serious forum. Even one of its main participants, Russia doesn't put much trust in China. Observer state in SCO is maintained by both US and India just like they do in ASEAN. That doesn mean they wanna join the group. The name speaks for itself. 'Observer' means they are there to observe.

Well USA will never have direct control over India. Since India is a huge and strong country with over 1 billion people I doubt if India will ever become a puppet state of USA. Rather in the process USA will become messed up. In a few years time India would be a key world player. USA with its messed up policy and double standards wouldn't be able to tackle such situations. If they are smart enough then they'll want to form an alliance with India and rather not break it.
