  • do you know if i can feed my 2month old mack snow leopard gecko superworms yet? ty

  • hi,

at what age you started feeding superworms to your geckos. and how many times a week you feed them the superworms please. i got a baby gecko and im new just want to know how to feed her superworms in the future.

    thanks

  • Well No insurence for the worms :P

  • nice video dude you should check out mine i do weekly updates on my animals i also do fishing stuff-too bad for worms :(

  • mine is anly like 10 weeks old and it loves eating super worms

  • Erm.. superworms are not mealworms.

  • im soon getting 3 leos!!!!! 2 females and 1 male wooooohooooooooooooo!!!!

  • are those meal worms (beetle larva) if they are u should cut their heads off first, otherwise the worm can eat its way out once it's inside! (apparently)

  • Meal worms are herbivores, they are not equipped well to eat through flesh, there is a very slim chance of this happening. If maggots are used instead they are carnivores, they usually only eat dead material, but they are far more likely to eat their way out of the lizard. With maggots it would be a good precaution to cut the heads, but with meal worms it is not truly necessary.

  • i love geckos my mom will not let me get one

  • me too:(

  • Leopard geckos are badass!!! I should know, I have one myself.

  • aww, so cute :) i like the way they gobble them down ^^

  • pretty cool :D

  • super worms are just large meal worms?

  • They need to be put in seperate containers to turn into beetles to breed but other than that yes

I'm not sure if they need to be ALL alone or with just a few others but yeah

  • @FlameSpartan Yes to make the super worms pupate you have to seperate them all from eachother.

  • i just got my leo, i named it leonardo!!!

  • i have one and his name is hermy lol

  • sand gets in they re body and the get constapatedso use eco earth

  • I Have one, name is croc, loves to do the whole "vertical climb" thing

  • i have a leopard gecko. his names mr. G and he loves crickets only!

  • Aw i have a leopard gecko.

    His name is izzy.

I got him a few months ago.

He's never bitten anyone before and very friendly.

I think leopard gecko's have to be one of the greatest pets to possibly have!?!

  • Yup. I definitely plan on getting a colony of them myself some time in the next couple years :o)

  • should get a bearded dragon :)

  • my 2 geckos wont grow:-(

  • stupid slow worms... they are not so super after all..why do they cry? do they not want to die?? ahahahahah

  • well dont have and out in the wild,

  • You should really consider taking those Geckos off that sand. Even if it's "calcium sand", they can still die from it. What happens is that it gets stuck in their system and they can't digest it. It turns into a sort of cement. Picture this: you're on a beach, and you have the dry sand which seems ok, but then when you add water, it turns to muck. That's what happens in your geckos system. Consider putting your gecko on slate, clean and cheap.

Source: My own leopard gecko, and LOTS of research.

  • Correction(s): I meant to say slate tiles, but ran out of room. My gecko is on tiles right now (like you'd use in a kitchen, or outside). They only cost me a few bucks each, and to clean it I can just wash them.

  • You are absoluely right, I had my leo in sand cause I didnt know any better, suddenly he stopped eating and I didnt know why... I had his temps right, my set up is great, then I found out about how bad sand is. I cleaned all the sand from his tank and put down white paper towels, and voila, he had blue sand in his diahrrea. After feeding him meal worm and apple sauce mush for 5 weeks, he finally started eating on his own again yesterday! I thought i was gonna lose him :( but he is ok now :D

  • i miss Rikhu and Setzu (my two leopard geckos):

  • throw like 30 superworms on them and see how long it takes.

  • that woud be ay too much to hold! it would probably kill it!

  • My leopard gecko escaped her cage and then I found her 9 months later... I searched my room up and down and then she just popped up in the middle of my floor... I tried to save her but she passed away :(

  • That's all my leos eat. There better than mealworms.

  • Lol. Cool geckos! I can't afford any pet. If I could, I would have 2 of every animal! More of some animals to feed others! =)

  • mine never ate mealworms he just liked silkworms and fruit :) alas he died :(

  • they rent spose to eat fruit lol and yea

  • they look nice and healthy to me

  • hey man, I was wondering how old or how big do leopard geckos have to be until they can eat pinky mice...? please reply...

  • they have to be adults. Usually the size of their had is good.

  • thanks for your reply! :)

  • can baby leopard gecko eat superworms????

  • If I had to guess I would say no. But wait for someone else to come along to confirm it first.

  • how much would a container ( like the one you have for example) and 1 or 2 geckos cost? Plus about how much will food cost and how much food does it need for about a year and what will it eat?? Thanks for answering.

  • well i have a 10 gallon which is about twenty dollars alone the cage. the geckos are about 19.99(at my petco) and the worms are about 1.99 for 25 of them(at my petco) and you need the sand subrstrate which is about 5 bucks so overall maybe one gecko with a descent home and some food is about 50-60 bucks. the little things add up.

  • @BOO9631 umm they can eat them but if you do decide to give them it make sure you cut them up or just feed them some meal worms =)

  • ITS IN MY OPINION, for the ppl that are asking how much do they cost, those ppl should not be getting lizards... You need to do your research before buying any animal!!!

  • Agreed.

  • exactly lol i have to do research for my friends because they arnt taking care of their animals correctly (i have a ball python who is in perfect health)

  • how old are they and how long oh and it is funny i saw the goose and snake video and then found this I AM SUBSCRIBING!

  • pumba?

  • how much do they cost?

  • i have a leopard gecko he can eat 3 of them at a time but he wont eat for a day or 2 lol

  • what age should my gecko be before i feed him super worms or maybe he has to b a certain size?

  • size, not age. But if you killed the super worms first I don't think it would matter.

  • well what size should my gecko be?

  • Not sure as these are not mine. Check out the new video I have just uploaded and that can lead you to the answer. If it is not showing up yet give it a few minutes as I literally just uploaded it.

  • awesome they "owned" the worms lol :P

  • on a site it says you can eat them but you need to freeze them until theyre cold and dead. i forgot the site, i found it in school.

  • i heard that you're supposed to cutt heads off mealworms, because they can eat the inside of a lizard...that's not true, right?

we had a bearded dragon, and we were afraid to feed it mealworms. just overly cautious, i guess. (:

  • Correct. Not true.

  • double team!

  • i have a leopard gecko so i taught it to jump for meal worms

  • lol i got a gecko 2

  • i love a good gecko feeding ^^ they are my favorite reptile

  • They are definitely fun. We may end up getting a few down the road.

  • Cuuuuute babies!

I used to own two little ones, still babies, but they died when my stupid cat tried to knock over their tank to kill them anyway, it breaks my heart.

  • i was told that meal worms are hard to digest for geckos.

  • ur fucked up, i wouldnt watch that vid, people like u make me pissed, and froglip, wtf

  • hey shkshook

fuck u nobodey likes a hater, asshole

  • Hey froglip, you are shit people basically like everything even if it was an ugly shit...hehehe.

I'll try to post a video of me kicking the hell out of these geckos. Watch out you fainting pussy.

  • no shkshook. asshole while ur busy killing porr animals that hasnt done anything wrong i,ll be there shooting the shit outta you.

i hope you get your ass eaten by camel spiders douche bag.

  • How Much Do Geckos Cost?

  • Depending on the morph $25-$2500

  • Are you serious! you wanna pay for these ugly devil reptiles? man in my home country we had loads of them and i used to hit them with my slippers and some people even shoot them with air guns. i hate them and they are shit bug-eating reptiles;-)

  • wow, you are ignorant. go ahead and kill them all, and let me guess, you'll complain like shit when your country is overrun with countless bugs infest your "home country".

  • haha are u suggesting if u want an animal u should move to where they are native and who the fuck wears slippers

  • No love, loads of geckos in Iraq and they are the Grey ones... and yes! we wear slippers and flip-flops in Iraq.

Actually, the old people are saying that the geckos are demoniac creatures and that's why they kill them. I'm not superstitious but i believe them to some extent, try to take off your clothes in front of a gecko and see how he will stare at you as if it is a human, its creepy thing and that's why people are killing them in different ways including sprayin them with petrol.

  • I understand that cultures kill different animals that other cultures view as pets or even gods.

But I must say though that "try to take off your clothes in front of a gecko and see how he will stare at you as if it is a human, its creepy thing and that's why people are killing them" is just a strange reason to kill anything in my opinion of course.

  • To be honest the ones you have here in this video are far more acceptable-looking than the ones we have, they are grey and can grow to scary sizes.

The other reason why i think they are dirty is that they only live in the manholes and deserted buildings. To be fare to them i say the only useful thing they do is they eat mosquitoes and other harmful insects.

  • how much are geckos and how much are iguanas

  • I'm not much of an Iguana fan myself. I don't think they are worth their maintenance in my opinion. I used to own one but ending up selling it about 6 years ago. The only pet I ever got rid of.

  • why? btw great vid those worms got owned!

  • Awesome geckos now i want one im sick of snake lol!

  • omfg i love eating mealworms ,full of vitamins and proties and their good for you

    try it someday

  • Taking your word for it will be enough for me.

  • the 2nd and 3rd feedings were so cool.

  • Awsome! Nice geckos!

  • they look so awsome you like the way they eat the worms don't you? it's like me enjoying watching vegas eating his mice meal.

  • Is it true that leopard geckos are relaxed?

My friends has one that lives in a lid-less tank. It could easily escape by climbing the branch, but... it just stays in there for some reason.

  • They are very docile. However I would not take the chance of not having a lid. But thats just me.

  • yeah... they're pretty active at night

  • geckos own =DD

  • The title sounded so wacky before viewing.

  • Beautiful animals and nice vid. It looks cool when they eat the worms :)

  • Hey man thanks for adding me as a friend, this is a cool video, my leopard gecko eats anything that moves lol.

I have some feeding vids check them out.

Well cya man - You should get some geckos

  • aww omg they r SOOO CUTE! ^_^

  • didnt know you had geckos dude, I have 2 =]

  • I kinda want a gecko now. I think my cat might enjoy that TOO much though :)

  • awkward

  • nice man. oh hey you have nixie an african grey? i just got my blue conure. any tips to get him talking i wouldent love him less if he doesnt say a peep. but i would like him to say more than watcha doing, raven "old owner" and sean i am sean, and gimmie a beer. i would love some tips bro.

  • Just spend time with him working on only a few words at a time (but not in the same session). Reward him when he makes any noise resembling that word, even if it is pretty far off. But really a bird will say the words the he wants to say. I notice our bird is more talkative when she is one room away from us but can see us. That's when we can tell what words she is working on.

  • i think i will make another video of my turtles right now

  • ya have to course ?

  • Do you mean swear?

  • ya i spelled it rong

  • I hold back on youtube...I swear much more in real life. Not to mention over using the words "Awesome", "Wicked" and "friggin" as well :oP

  • LOL

  • LOL

  • how much do these cost? and can you grabb them? to handle them and stuff?

  • Depends on what morph you get. There are so many of them! But generally $25-$250. They are very docile and feel awesome. In my opinion a great choice of pet assuming you do your homework on them of course :o)

  • you said that you will be making a video of your ball python and you friends burmese python and all the other on september

  • Yes! Lots of of snake videos crammed in to one month!

  • thanks for the feedback on them, how much did yours cost?

  • Not sure, their not mine.

  • i love geckos but i hate superworms.. lmao they bite and scared the hell out my mantids :D

  • yo man that was wicked to watch

    they both eat exactly alike

    when they were both eating

    the worms

    peace & one love

  • tell ur friend to tell the people he is watching those for not to feed sueperworms because they have way harder shells and if they dont killl them when they swallow them they can eat their way out of the stomach

  • I will mention it to them. A good reason I never eat any of my food while its alive. :oP

  • haha

  • Just so you know I did some research on this after your comment. It seems that many top breeders actually use them as their primary source of diet. Those same breeders also claim this is just a myth.

  • hmmm maybe it is owell who knows

  • Not me :oP I'm still learning about these guys. My girlfriend is thinking of getting a couple of these instead of a sugar glider.

  • Actully the exoskeleton of a superworm is much softer than the mealworm. And mealworms and superworms really cant eat out of your leopard gecko's stomach. If you are really cautionous. Feed your leopard gecko a mealworm/superworm and if you hear a *CRUNCH* it will be in insect heaven :D

  • well all the mealworms are dead right now

  • yeh damn rainbow farms or whatever

  • i would get those over a sugar glider but thats just my opinion cause i have bad expireinces with thos guys

    lol

  • awesome vid!
