can i also add that i was always impressed with paint finish of maisto - was comparable to autoart........always blemish free and nicely done.......they say the best way to see if ur getting a quality model or not is to look at the wheels first - if theyre good then the model itself is generally good finish as well..minichamps and autoart are about the best you can get for true collector stuff...the rest i consider toys..i also dont think much of franklin mint models-poorly made and v/expensive

Bburago are now owned by maisto alot of diecast companies are owned by matel hotwheels although they stick to their own branding,etc..not sure if maisto are now ultimately owned by matel too (chinese & american owned last i heard) there have been alot of changes past cpl yrs airfix/corgi etc all due to them all havng trading problems/recession/bankruptcy and general lack of new young collectors - its a dying business for them all - im sure matel got out of diecast 2 concentrate on plastic toys.

the 1/24 lancer,celica and subaru were made by SAICO - however they put them into any company packaging besides their own... they also done them in 1/12 scale which were huge - and impressive.....it was basically an imitation of muscle machines but alot lot cheaper however quality was good .......their main business was 1/32 scale road cars,rally cars and tuners(customised style) and motoGP motorbikes........i used to have a diecast model business a few yrs back.

You do such a great job man! Out of curiosity, what brand are most of them? Revell/Monogram, Tamiya? I just got into it again (started at age 9 and really didnt have the patience, now i'm 13 and just finished a Tamiya Ferrari 360 Modena in 8 hrs) so I'm trying to find some good quality models. Keep building! Quality work like that comes very little!

A nice collection there (I have a few of my own on YT too) - Of those, I have the R34 Skyline (which Maisto curiously did with LHD - I detailed mine to include matt black window surrounds and interior headlining), the Freelander and Crossfire in the colours depicted. Thats a weird colour on the 959 though - I built a Bburago 959 in dark blue, done up with clearcoated waterslide decals into a rallycar.
