I served a 8 month sentence here for a parole violation. There's like nothing to do to kill time in these cells, but lie down there on your bed or talk to your cell roommate. My cell roommate was serving a life sentence, he was in the prison for 10 years. He presented me to some people, so i was not alone. Had somewhere to sit and to hang out. Trust me, you do not want to go here. It is hell.

I have done several years recently in SQ and its not a hard prison. Death row maybe, but not mainline or reception. The guys in orange in the vid are reception in west block, which is the reception center for the bay area(and donner section of south block). Mainline is north block and H-unit, both level 2, and the politics are so relaxed its not even funny. Its easier in SQ than on the streets. If you dont wanna believe me then dont, I've been there, your watchin youtube vids on it.....

Human beings are SO adaptable! We are hard wired to be survivors like racoons. A few months of prison would straighten out and scare the average man. After a couple of years it becomes "life" and becomes acceptable. cont- One of my Brother in-laws served 8 1/2 years in San Quentin. He said that after the 1st 6 months or so you get used to the boring routine. You get a little job, you go to Bible study and Church, you learn who to trust, and who NOT to. He said it's like a little city and it isn't a big deal. After a couple of years you become WAY more comfortable in prison and the outside world seems scary. We lock people up WAY TOO LONG to serve any useful purpose. USA should learn faster than this.
These prisoners are a huge burden on society and all taxpayers in general. The solution is to clean the prison system up. The way i look at it these living things are no better then wild animals. For only $2400( that's .40 cents per person with the 6000 in San Quintin) we could rid of them all within a week. Quite simple 1 bullet to the head....end of story....everybody wins.

I have done several years recently in SQ and its not a hard prison. Death row maybe, but not mainline or reception. The guys in orange in the vid are reception in west block, which is the reception center for the bay area(and donner section of south block). Mainline is north block and H-unit, both level 2, and the politics are so relaxed its not even funny. Its easier in SQ than on the streets. If you dont wanna believe me then dont, I've been there, your watchin youtube vids on it.....

@PocketsGotBigMoney Not really. It's kinda scary how "normal" it begins to feel after a year or two(I did 4 in SQ) & you just get used to it and find a routine. You'd be amazed how fast time appears to go by when every day is exactly like the last. I've been out less than 2 years and it almost feels like it never even happened. Kinda like I went through a 4 year timewarp or something, its pretty odd seeing these videos.

How many of the men were passed over in school because they had learning problems, or mental health problems while growing up that were not treated. Maybe there is ONE out of 10,000 of these men who came from a family that was loving, caring, supportive, and did not have major mental health problems. The rest of these men...they came from families and homes were they had no chance from Day #1.

Human beings are SO adaptable! We are hard wired to be survivors like racoons. A few months of prison would straighten out and scare the average man. After a couple of years it becomes "life" and becomes acceptable. Shorter sentences and more humane treatment would work better than the so called "Law and Order" mentality that we currently depend on. It would also ease overcrowding. America truly is a Prison Nation, and it ain't working...

cont- One of my Brother in-laws served 8 1/2 years in San Quentin. He said that after the 1st 6 months or so you get used to the boring routine. You get a little job, you go to Bible study and Church, you learn who to trust, and who NOT to. He said it's like a little city and it isn't a big deal. After a couple of years you become WAY more comfortable in prison and the outside world seems scary. We lock people up WAY TOO LONG to serve any useful purpose. USA should learn faster than this.

These prisoners are a huge burden on society and all taxpayers in general. The solution is to clean the prison system up. The way i look at it these living things are no better then wild animals. For only $2400( that's .40 cents per person with the 6000 in San Quintin) we could rid of them all within a week. Quite simple 1 bullet to the head....end of story....everybody wins.
