...just get awesome in a bit, and I have to let it hit its stride? Just got through the jungle bit, and while cool and all, I'm having trouble believing it's the best game on the system (or is that ign just being ign?). Before I get flamed, I'm more than willing to keep going, but does it amount to more than tomb raider meets national treasure?

okok so pretty much everyone with a ps3 loves the shit out of this game I see. I just got a free copy, haven't played the first one and am only about an hour in. So far, I'm not THAT blown away. Maybe it's just Chloe's creepy eyes, or the fact that Drake pointed at Tibet while he was talking about Persia, but I don't find the characters that compelling or believable. Gameplay is fun, but nothing revolutionary. Can someone help me out? Did I need to play #1 for character dev? Does this thing...

Does anyone know if this game will have a twist at the end like in Drakes Fortune. I really liked that we had to fight those monster things lOl. And Marco Polo, in this game at least, did say "I did not tell half of what I saw for I knew I would not be believed..." It's gotta be more than just a vast amount of treasure, right? Just curious.

Yup, just beat the game today, and the it pulls another 180 on you near the end, just like in the first game.

SPOILERS: About the time you reach the Monastary, you'll start encountering men who have been transformed into half-crazed animals that look very much like Black Yeti's, and when you get to Shambala at the end of the game, you encounter mutant cursed tribesmen who are almost exactly like those from the first game, only they're violet-skinned and have crossbows. :D
