ah I see...now I understand how deserts form, and that was a pretty cool experiment...thanks Chris! And I was wondering...do you devise all of these experiments on your own? Or do you get the ideas from another source (like a book or website or whatever)
@srbrand04 This is how MOST deserts form, the sahara formed when the african continent slammed into asia which cut off water to the northern part of the african continent forming a dry desert :D Usually I search online for experiments, some times I get experiments from my old teachers that I still stay in contact with, or I'll check books, then theres other sci channels where we share experiments. I try to put my own twist on the experiments though. This one I pretty much came up with on my own.
@thezomgmoble I was acctually hoping to make people think I was gunna say water and instead of of saying water turn it around and say "Welcome to so cool science" Haha
@WeirdGuy207 Most of canada gets hot sunny days in the summer :D
But lets say you wanted to do this on a cold day or a winter day, you would just put your glasses in a window sill on a sunny day, and it would just take longer to make the temp in the jars hotter then room temp in the room thats all. Thats really the main point of putting the jars in teh sun is so you ca get the temp in the jars hotter then room temp :D
@tfan0 Haha no I didnt get sun poisoning Im perfectly fine but thanks for you concerns, the tempreture in the desert was only about 38*C(100*F) the reason the tempreture in the jars were about 50*C(120*F) is becuz the glass traps heat making the tempreture hotter in the jar then the surounding air temp :D
@HalloweenClub wicked :D its called "marche slave" by tchaikovsky I was searching for the music used in a bug bunny cartoon called: "Case of the Missing Hare" and after doing a search for hours i finally learned it was called "Marche Slave" and that it was public domain music and so I put it in this sci file :D
@TheRoman200 No not realy, I still use the same camera same editing software but now I just spend more time redoing things, recutting things, spending more time on getting the lighting right, spend more time fixing audio levels, spending more time editing. But its all worth it so I can bring people the best sci files possible :D
@DeadlyInertia Alright Now im glad I went back and added that at the last min. The first joke was about you wanna get sand head to the beach type joke but then at the last min I was like im gunna do this joke instead cuz it wll get the better laugh :D
It's about the compactness of the molecules and hence the earth elements. (-.-)

If you were out on a really hot desert all day (on 120 F) I think you might get a sun poison.
