I saw John Boutte sing this song @ the 1st week of JazzFest in New Orleans. He was backed by the New Orleans Social Club. I had heard the song before, but cou;d not recall who performed it. John is a talented vocalist who sings from the heart with a passion.
If you ever get a chance to see him, don't miss it...
and hope he sings this song...it will stir your soul!
