Kikaider 01. A japanese super hero tv show from the 1970s.

Heh heh, I was gonna say Kakaider too but was addressing some PMs. He's from a long line of "Metal Heroes" and has a lot of honors. That tokusatsu series is among one of the best, IMO. I loved the animation back when it was aired a short time in English on T.V. The characters were reminiscent in design to the works of Cyborg 009 and Astroboy.

Something about giving an android a human soul goes great with storytelling :)

I was influenced by the 1970s tokusatsu tv shows. I actually like the original Kikaida more. And Kamen Rider V3 too.
