omg it looks like some sort of ring worm but...??.!!!! some needs to find out wat that is? mabby a ring worm was in a wale or shark or something big and it died so the ring worm left and now it needs to find another host befor dieing..did u see the tear in it looks like sections i bet its a ring worm...that gguys should have captured it and brought it to some 1 who would know wha it realy is!!
Riftia, giant tube worm. Probably, like a lot of other species in modern times, has left its normal habitat because of changes to the atmosphere, environment, temperatures, etc.
Actually phillbo88 , its ac species calle RIFTIA. Its rare that it has come up from the depths of the oceans where its habitat is. This is very uncommon for them to reach the surface and have only been found (until recently) in the deepest parts of the oceans along side thermal vents. Found in abundance along the ceacks of the ocean floor where lava and fire can be seen rising from the cracks of the earth.
I like when someone knows what they're talking about. Thanks! There seems to be more deep sea creatures coming up. We had a 35 foot oarfish come up in Monterey Bay, California, where I live. It died after 2 hours. Even though the aquarium people tried to save her. They said they only come to surface when sick or dying. Sad.
A riftia is a form of a tube worm. Looks more like some species of a platyhelimenthes. Tube worms don't move around like that. And fire doesn't rise from the crack of the earth underwater. Haha. Maybe you were thinking of oceanic thermal vents or hot spots?
Its not coral shit and its not a sea snake shedding its skin as sea snakes are still vertebrates and as you can clearly see it is an invertebrate, it is a nemertean worm. keep em comin.
