  • Homer, I like the attention to detail in your videos. It creates more of the feeling as if I'm actually there.

  • Back when i was a kid growing up..My mom and i would fly alot overseas..Back then people were allowed to smoke..are there some airlines that still allow this?...I heard if it's an over night flight you may...

  • @Midnightryder7 smoking on airplanes are not allowed...

  • I think this is the best way to start your flight

  • man this is realy awesome iam crazy about flights and laxurious lounges. Next time i would surely fly by Emirates Business class.

  • that is really nice all i have been in are mostly all the crown rooms for Sky team because my dad fly's for Delta but i would love to go into emirates look's amazing!

  • How are the Crown rooms?

  • uuum sort of like emirates just not as nice

the one in orlando you walk in hand them your credit card from delta or anything that show's your a platnium member then they say welcome what ever name you have walk in set your bags down by a chair or couch get some breakfast..or lunch/dinner watch virgin atlantic's 747 land watch the new's then board your flight :)

  • Last time i used a lounge in the US i got a voucher fr one free glass of wine..and then i would have needed to pay..so in the Delta also alcoholic drinks are free? Do they have warm dishes as well?

  • @homer3152 there is no Delta Crown room in Frankfurt any more, Delta is using now Japan Airlines Lounge. You can enter it only if you are flying business class on Delta or own a Platinum Elite or Platinum Medallion membership card...

and the choice of food and drinks is really poor::: in comparison with Emirates Lounge...

  • Great vid as always Homer.

With Dubai's lounge will I have to present my ticket to staff before I will be given entry?

..and how will I know when my flight is departing?

    :)

  • Sure you need to presnt yourticket:) There are big screens showing all the flights and when they board. And there are calls in the lounge..but only the "final calls"..so you better make sure the lounge is not too far away.

  • are the lounges used for both first and business class? or are they 2 different lounges and buffets?

  • Lounges are different in Dubai only. All other Emirates Lounges are for both First and Business Class..they have a First Class standard..have e.g. a look at my video of the BKK lounge..or the New York flight video

  • i guess that would make sense being that all ek flights are to/from dubai so they can put more money in it... that nyc lounge is pretty impressive considering that its not really an ek hub...

  • Maybe. In the old T1 (this video) food and drinks were identical in both lounges. In T3 I have not seen the F lounge yet..but as you can see from my T3 lounge video, food is excellent; in the F lounge, though, it is more like a full service restaurant, from what I know

  • buffets are still great...emirates has amazing indian food...

  • Actually..i got confused..this is the Emirates lounge in Frankfurt, for both First and Business class

  • All those hard surfaces just magnify sounds - not conducive to relaxation before a flight.

On the other hand, there is the open bar.

    (:^ )

  • pls be informed that this was the previous f class lounge of emirates in dubai in T1. Emirates dedicated T3 is now open, a very spacious, relaxing and state of the art lounges capable of 1500 passengers during peak hours.

  • You are right..and i hope you post your own video about it..i just put on a video about their new bisiness class lounge..

  • I have to say that for a first class lounge, it looks rather disappointing. I have never flown first class, but have been in the several BA Club (business class) lounges - and I think they are better.

In this one, there are no floor-to ceiling windows and it appears rather small. For first class, i was half expecting to see mirrored ceilings, marble floors and pretty ladies with skimpy outfits serving champagne.

Is it just me that feel this way?

  • Well, it is the " Emirates Lounge" which serves both Business and First class..maybe the title is a bit misleading. Windows depend of course on the airport structures..there are lounges with larger windows. Also check my New York video...the lounge there is like a First Class restaurant. Ladies with "skimpy outfits" though might be more a matter of your personal dreams, And: the BA Business lounge I know in Duesseldorf is louzy compared to this lounge..no food at all in the BA lounge.

  • red tortello mmmmmmm yummy yummyy

  • Thank you so much for your comments.

I agree with you on the BA lounge at Duesseldorf - BA lounges in Eupe don't tend to be very good - I imagine LH get the better lounges in German airports.

I imagine that the BA lounge at Dubai won't be as good in London airports either. As DXB is Emirates' hub, I was expecting something more spectacular for it's first class lounge. The food looks does ood though - but not al a carte.

Further comments are of course always welcome.

  • Actually, the BA lounge in Duesseldorf is heaven compared to the LH Business lounge in Frankfurt; i must admit i like the design in Duesseldorf..and they have an excellent wine selection..it is just food, which is lacking.EK´s First Class lounge in DBX must be great, incl. a la carte dining and a wine cellar. Did you check food in the New York lounge in my video? And mind you: i had a 140 USD steak dinner in the Ritz Carlton before the black Cadillac took me to airport ..all courtesy Emirates.

  • A Cadillac to the airport from the Ritz Carlton after a steak dinner - wow!!! The opinion I had of Emirates is rapidly changing. It's extras like that that BA Club World don't do yet make you feel that extra special.

Yeah - I've seen you have a good selection of videos - you sure travel around a lot - in style of course.

Once again - thanks for posting your videos and tahnks for taking the time to reply to me. Hope you have a good evening!

    BTW, I love Sweden!

  • hi homer i have been most impressed with your video of emirates business class that next Friday i am flying to shanghai from Birmingham via Dubai i have decided to pay the extra and return on the 14th October business class. please keep the videos coming in i am a great fan. many thanks jason

  • Amazing! You get to go so many places. What line of work are you in that you get to travel so much? I really envy you right now :)

  • ya i lived in dubai when we flew to sweden i got firstclass on emirates its reallyreally good. I loved it and the ladies wer just amazing!

  • i know you lived in dubai because that is normal because you are from dubai

  • your livin the life

  • lamb curry mmmmmmmmmmmm~

  • ..but they need a good cocktailer:)

  • Hallo Homer!!!

Saludos!

  • Ich werde schauen!!! vielen dank!!!

    tschus! saludos loool

  • The Emirates' Lounge certainly leaves the QANTAS and JAL ones for dead with the selection of food and drinks offered.

  • you make the ebst videos, when will you be posting more?

  • Thank you very much..did you check my most recent ones from my trip to New York? Next trip might be in April :)

  • first I though this was on the plane lolll, I was like wtff!!

  • Who knows..maybe the new 380, lol

  • LOL!!.....lol funny !

  • haha, Iv been to that lounge 2 trips ago ^^. Was on my way to London.

  • Have you been to the Business lounge in NYC JFK airport? BEtter than any first class lounge.

  • Pls take a video:)

  • I havent taken any videos but i am flying in dec... and I will take one JUST FOR YOU! hehehehe! I will keep you updated :)

  • That´s very nice..looking very much forward to that!!!

  • Seems you didntz take the video..just been in the New York lounge myself. It IS sensational..food is amazing. Though, I had a 5 course steak dinner in the Ritz Carlton before, paid by Emirates, so I was not too hungry.

  • Yeah, 2 weeks before I left my apartment got broken into and one thing stolen was my camera so I couldn't take a video. BUT ISN'T IT AMAZING??? I love the food in the lounge. Its one of the best lounges I have ever been to. I go back again in 22 days... can't wait!!!

  • Wow..that was a quick reply. I agree..it is the best lounge i have ever seen, and the food is sensational..almost better than the Ritz, lol. Yet, IF you fly business, just request the dinner in the Ritz Carlton..you can eat a la carte whatever you want!! Well, the limo did not come..but Emirates easily refunded me the cab to the airport. Sorry about the appartment news!!!

  • Wow, what a view. I would love to try that cake, esp the chicken skewers and the potatoes. Now I'm feeling hungry. Is that ice-cream I see?? Thanks for the video.

  • EK will stop at nothing to impress...

  • 10/10

  • I have been to the first class lounges in London, Paris and Dubai... they are all perfect, but the one in Dubai definitely tope them all. I usually travel from north america to dubai and back, and pick different hubs to stop over, and I love taking showers en-route!

  • I would not insist, though, that you post a vid of the latter:)

  • is it only for first class passengers?

  • No, it is for First and Business Class - particularly for Business Class passengers it is way better than any other facility i know

  • Tolles Video!

  • aha. Sind Sie auch Mitglied des Vielfliegerprogramms der Emirates (Skywards) ?
