this was the best and still is the best show on earth, i saw this show like almost every day for a year, i know its bad but when i hear the music i can still see the show in my minds eye, and i was bad as i filmed the last show,
It's such a shame that not everyone went to the dome because i guarantee everyone who did will remember it for the rest of their lives. I was only six and i was so inspired by it that it fuelled my ambition to become a scientist which is still what i want to do now. It really was a one off, extraordinary space and they should have made it a permanent weekend attraction. The show was incredible too, i went five times in the end! such a shame it got slaughtered in the press for no good reason :(
@mystermoores I'll remember it for the rest of my life as I met and later married one of the managers from there (Skyscape and Central Arena - Area 7) and we had two children together, one named Millennium and the other named Dome. Haha...kidding. After meeting her, the Dome had an even bigger magnetic pull for me. Anyway, I just played this video and looked at my wife. She started smiling and looked over. A magical eleven years and two kids later and she still misses the place.
We saw this show twice, there was so much going on all the time, and excellent use of the space. There was also a wheelchair dancer and it was amazing watching the way he performed and how the others lifted him onto the dias almost without missing a beat.
More proof that the past will always be better than the future.
Which is ironic really considering the whole point of this show was about "look to the future, with optimism, hope and excitement, who knows what 30 or even 100 years will bring"
I have been looking for years for this for my son, he absolutely loved the dome, he was only 2 when he first went, can't wait to show him this clip. thank you for putting it on
My pleasure, glad you found it....I have more footage, but had only just bought my first DV camera so my video technique was not good, and video was forbidden too!!!! I will try and revamp the footage and edit off the black spaces...

why does this prove or even suggest the past will b better than the future?

Because i very much doubt any English politician would be crazy enough to attempt to fund anything like this again in the future. Thats one reason.
