The man who took her was scum and so was his wife full stop...but to be honest i think most of anger should be aimed at the police. Time and Time again we hear stories of police bungling cases because they waste time on the 'easiest' suspects, the grieving family, letting the real perp run free. The police are a hindrance to the case more than anything.
That said the behaviour of the 2 female cops was amazing, more would get done if there were more female officers- the men are just useless
Give me 5 minutes in a room with this piece of shit. By the time i'm done, he'll be begging me to kill him. Pedo, rapsist cunt. Hope he gets whats coming to him. Paybacks a bitch Garrido.
Harming a child is the worst crime one can commit, the very worst. Sick piece of... the English language does not have words powerful enough to accurately picture the atrocity of the their horrible crimes. How she managed to stay sane all this time is beyond me: her strength of character is just amazing. What also infuriates me is the absolute INCOMPETENCE of the justice system. How did they let that pervert out in the first place? How could they NOT notice that PEOPLE were hidden in his yard?
People like him should be burnt alive! I'm also reading her book at the moment, wishing it wasn't based on someone's real experience :( What a brave woman!
I'm so proud of her...everything must have been so tramatic...And now, she's beautiful and strong. Gorrido, I want to let you know that you failed, and you are evil.
Oh those eyes of his are the eyes of a psychopath, deranged mother fucker, hope he rot's in hell & gets raped and beaten every day for the rest of his life, I cried watching this, so very sad & heartbreaking.
Jaycee is a shining example of courage and poise. She goes to show that against all odds, light can be found even in the darkest of places.
I think they should pass a nation-wide law that requires more thorough monitoring of parolees and sex offenders. Knowing where they are is clearly not enough. They should call it Jaycee's Law.
I'm from australia, my mate did time in jail and said rapist, child molesters and women murders get bashed real bad inside and the guards let them do it. I hope the inmates in the USA do the same.
I was also molested at the age of 11. I was in the 5th grade. My brother in law molested me in the woods about an hour from my house. He almost hung me off of a deer stand but he let me go. I guess he was trying to scare me. Anyway, the cops didn't believe me and nothing was done. He is still out there. I would say his name but being that he wasn't convicted of anything, I think it's against the law to say he did it. It's sad how many sickos there are out there.
What a brave girl! You all who think she deserved it and could've escaped? Since you clearly still need to grow up, you get kidnapped at 12 and escape. See you on the news,,dead! I feel awful for poor Jaycee. She's amazing, to live knowing that happened to you! Wow. I'm amazed.
Miss Dugard is surprisingly well-balanced and articulate! Her life changed, but clearly did not end. She has more resilience and intelligence than many people I've met who never went through any such harrowing experience.
Just walk dont the road, stop a car and then suddenly a sick bastard will approach you- what a sick world. Its so sad that the world shall be so unsafe a place to be, especially for women. There is a lot mental sick people out there apparently extreme many in the USA.
it would kill me to think my children came from the person that kidnaped and raped me. i'd be worried that they just might have the sick mind passed down from their father.
What a sick, cruel, disgustiing, narcassist, creepy, awkward, wannabe singer who never made it, dislusional, fucking grotty, pedo, scumbag, loser, asshole, idiot, moran, dickhead, selfish, self-centered, piece of shit, asshole, butthead. Both him and that old hag of a ''woman''..
Death is too good for this monster. He and his wife are evil. There is no punishment too great for them. I'm not a religious person and I generally don't pray, but after I read Jaycee's book, I said to whoever or whatever is there, "Protect the children."
A MAN WHO RAPES ONCE SHOULD NOT GET OUT OF PRISON NEVER SEE THIS MIGHT HAVE NOT HAPPENED. WELL THANK GOD SHE IS AT HOME WITH HER MOM, SHE LOOK LIKE 20 YEARS OLD VERY BEAUTIFUL GOD BLESS HER.
he was raping her and she had to apologize for not hearing fucking voices! He needs to be put to his eternal resting place. Hard to believe a person can be so cruel and harsh. Anyone like that isn't human.
He should be executed. We know for a FACT that sexual predators cannot change. Their sick fantasies are hard-wired into their psyche. @VanillaDollx27 Many states now make anyone a sex offender who relieves themselves by the side of the road. As well as people who did nothing more than have a consensual relationship with someone under the US legal age. Even when they marry the person in question the law does not stop harassing them. Those people are obviously not predators but are barred from most employment . They are considered sex offenders under the current laws. Would you like to kill or castrate them?
@PeterPiper00 obviously, the allegations of sexual crimes should be investigated, THOROUGHLY and reasonably. But when we know, by DNA and other factors, that someone is a repeat sexual offender, then we should kill them. It doesn't matter if they have the person's consent, if the person they are engaging in sexual acts with is under-age, they are sexual predators. But if you're sexually aroused by someone who you know is under-age, even if they say it's 'okay', you're still taking advantage. Teens, even teens who are almost of age, don't know what they can truly handle when it comes to relationships. They believe,at the time, but they can't.
@PeterPiper00 So we need to re-evaluate what makes a TRUE sexual predator. But I see where you are coming from for questioning my initial point of view. Things are messed up on a lot of fronts. But some people we know are dangerous. And some rapists go on to be murderers as well. They're deviant desires excelate (sic) in a way that whether or not they were exhibiting appropriate behavior before, they aren't now. But we need to have these discussions. Predators evolve & we need to keep up w/ 'em.
Back when I was 15 me & a mate ‘kidnapped’ a girl he fancied by tying her up in a shed overnight. Nothing sexual happened, it was just a bit of fun really- the Police gave us both a caution, which was fair.
Trouble is, she now has a hoard of nauseating 2-bit ‘counsellors’ talking her into believing the experience has blighted her adult life & now insists I go see her for some bullshit ‘reconciliation & forgiveness’ meeting. I have no time for such tearful nonsense & have told them to back off.
@SuperTruth77 And your point is? You dont know what she went through that night, you went home to your comfy bed while she sat there tied up wondering what was going to happen to her. Have some decency and meet up with the girl, Have you ever said you were sorry or did you and your friend mock just mock her? Sounds to me that it was with sex in mind as you said yourself you fancied her. i hate to think what you would do to someone you dont like.
@XxJenxXtal You took the time and trouble to tie the poor girl up, now take a bit of time and trouble to help her out a bit, even if in your eyes she is a lame girl after attention. HOW do you know you didnt damage her? ill bet she sat there confined and tied, scared you would come back and hurt her or kill her,
@XxJenxXtal you used your power over her to scare her half to death and how you cant see that makes me worry about your future relations with women. how dare you think you are above seeing this girl and maybe helping her get on with her life you idiot!!!
@SuperTruth77 You terrorised some girl just so you could have a 'bit of fun' and now you're refusing to apologise to the victim? You sound like someone with absolutely no remorse.
@PeterPiper00 Sexual predators don't have remorse. The only guilt they feel is for themselves for getting caught. Everything they do seems rational to them. All those thoughts about raping children becomes normal to the point that they will try to justify what they've done as something that anyone could do. Truly sickening people in this world. Thankfully there's one left in society now. And his crazy wife. She's just as guilty & messed up.
@SocalDNM Not necessarily. It depends on someone's personal capacity to put it behind them. Look at Elisabeth Smart and Jaycee Dugard. They have both put it behind them. Or there's also a girl named Natasha Kamputsch (look her up on wikipedia) who was kidnapped and held for six years and has now become a talk show host.
@RagdollRalph And I feel bad for her of course, poor girl got so many years destroyed, she has my blessing (although I don´t really believe in a god I think that´s the best thing I can do). She seems to be a lovely person.
And just so you know Thats what happens to petafiles in prison, THEY get raped. Cus the men in there have daughters and sisters, etc.. The inmates see it as "that could of been one of my peeps" soo stfu, Cus I know wassup in that system!
@dorminay42 Unless I asked for your fuckin opinion FUCKKK OFF!! So stop acting like you know everything!!! And don't tell me to go kill myself you piece of ignorant shit!
This is hard to watch. I hope that she has a wonderful free life and goes on to great things, the best of luck to her, he deserves to die for what he has done
@MISSMNK21 Well, unless you live in a country where they treat prisoners like human beings and focus on actual rehabilitation instead of just making them miserable, because their population isn't a bunch of barbarians who are content with higher percentages of repeat offenders so long as they get to imagine people they don't like being raped on a regular basis while the government looks the other way.
You are what's wrong with the world. Kill yourself, or at the very least don't have children.
@KabarKelly There are many people who sat in jail for years on false rape charges. (see for example, the Gary Dotson case, in jail for over 10 years for a rape that didn't even happen. (The 'victim' had sex with her bf and made up the story just in case she got pregnant.) Since you believe they should be castrated, would you volunteer to sew it back on when it turns out they are not guilty after all?
I'm reading her book right now. I have no words to describe how awful everything happened to her was. I feel terrible for her and despise her twisted kidnapper and wife. I'm appauled no one ever saw her and all those years went by. I'm nearly done with the book. I almost stopped reading at one point because its hard to read :(
I did not know what happened to the ring she mentioned in her book and was sad thinking she lost it, happy she kept it hidden and she still has it!
Wait a minute...so she had NO opportunity to escape for EIGHTEEN YEARS? How is that possible? She wasn't locked in a dungeon, she was living in a fucking tent
@Dorminay42 Yeah, but she was also under his complete control, plus the control of his wife. Then, she had her daughters by him, so she was scared for them. She did what she knew how to do at the time....can't blame her.
@Dorminay42 She was locked up and worried if she did get away he would come after her and she didnt wanna leave her daughters. If you lived like that you would be in fear too.
My wife was raped- she was raped more than once sadly. When I met her she was obviously troubled, yet underneath there was this beautiful person which I easily recognized. It took over 10 years of mariage before she even trusted ME enough to begin to tell what happened to her. She still can hardly talk about any of it, and when she does she blames HERSELF, and HATES HERSELF! She has now after all of these years only begun the healing process. I hope someday she has the strength Jaycee has found.
I think that in this particular case the person who did this was a known sex offender and on parole. I think it's good that Jaycee refused to let the Garridos have her.
The system failed her. Thank God she turned out to be a beautiful young woman. She will always be haunted by her memmories, but I hope she can go on with her life in a happy and loving way. This is why predators of any kind (rapists, child molesters, kidnappers, etc) should be off the streets permanently, not out in 6 months so they can commit another crime.
@romans52345 So, what exactly is your point about that? She deserves MORE than what she got for what she went through. Do you think that she was thinking about money for those 18 years?
@KillinDaWelfareMCs Not really willingly. When kidnapped the idea of escape might be as frightening as the idea of staying. She probably wanted to run away, but she had two daughters and wanted to protect them too. She was scared.
@KillinDaWelfareMCs Depends on what you mean. Just because she was an adult then, he still kept her. You hear a lot (especially anymore, those sick bastards) of adults being taken. So, even though she was 18, it was still like she was a little kid and couldn't run away.
@edwardcullenfan3 they say that she would handle his business for his printing company. My understanding is that she would often meet clients who would come over but never ever asked for help or anything.
@KillinDaWelfareMCs I heard he rarely even worked or anything. I never saw anything about a busniess O.O But now I'm curious. I'll look it up! :) I'd like to read more about that now.
@edwardcullenfan3 yes, look it up. Apparently there was a home based printing business and she dealt with alot of the clients. Some of whom built of a lengthy business relationship with her over many years. I think they printed business cards and flyers and other little stuff like that.
Just finished reading her book. It made me cry in several different spots. She is a smart, obviously strong human being, and I'm glad she had the strength to tell the world about it.! The very fact that she survived and has been such a good mother from such a young age just amazes me.She deserves every good thing in life that is surely ahead of her!!
@VannillaandBean Hate to disagree with you Nilla, but I think child rapists should be put to fucking death. Put them in a room with the parents of the child and let justice take it's course.
@parresa101 North Korea and China are among the few countries that apply the death penalty for things other than murder. Do we really want to be like China and North Korea?
@VannillaandBean Unfortunately false accusations are common. Just like Gary Dotson, in jail 10 years for a rape that never occurred. The victim admitted later that she made the whole thing up because she was afraid she might be pregnant from her boyfriend. Even then the state of IL would only release him on parole, with a criminal record so he was unable to find employment. It took 25 years before he could finally clear his name. Look up Gary Dotson on Wikipedia.
I hope he got raped in jail, the fucker deserved it.

Diane Sawyer is patronizing and creepy. She seems to have no idea how to treat Jaycee as just a normal person.

@PeterPiper00 That is because she is a handler she wants to control people.

SuperTruth77 1 month ago
@SuperTruth77 And your point is? You dont know what she went through that night, you went home to your comfy bed while she sat there tied up wondering what was going to happen to her. Have some decency and meet up with the girl, Have you ever said you were sorry or did you and your friend mock just mock her? Sounds to me that it was with sex in mind as you said yourself you fancied her. i hate to think what you would do to someone you dont like.
XxJenxXtal 1 month ago
@XxJenxXtal You took the time and trouble to tie the poor girl up, now take a bit of time and trouble to help her out a bit, even if in your eyes she is a lame girl after attention. HOW do you know you didnt damage her? ill bet she sat there confined and tied, scared you would come back and hurt her or kill her,
XxJenxXtal 1 month ago
@XxJenxXtal you used your power over her to scare her half to death and how you cant see that makes me worry about your future relations with women. how dare you think you are above seeing this girl and maybe helping her get on with her life you idiot!!!
XxJenxXtal 1 month ago
@SuperTruth77 You terrorised some girl just so you could have a 'bit of fun' and now you're refusing to apologise to the victim? You sound like someone with absolutely no remorse.
PeterPiper00 1 month ago
@PeterPiper00 Sexual predators don't have remorse. The only guilt they feel is for themselves for getting caught. Everything they do seems rational to them. All those thoughts about raping children becomes normal to the point that they will try to justify what they've done as something that anyone could do. Truly sickening people in this world. Thankfully there's one left in society now. And his crazy wife. She's just as guilty & messed up.
VanillaDollx27 1 month ago
I am surprised shes not so fucked up on the head. Usually people who go through this kind of abuse come out really messed in the head.
SocalDNM 1 month ago
@SocalDNM Not necessarily. It depends on someone's personal capacity to put it behind them. Look at Elisabeth Smart and Jaycee Dugard. They have both put it behind them. Or there's also a girl named Natasha Kamputsch (look her up on wikipedia) who was kidnapped and held for six years and has now become a talk show host.

I wasnt even born when she got kidnapped. Nancy and Philip are sick disgusting ppl. But it's ok, cus in prison they take care of peeps like them.
MISSMNK21 2 months ago
@MISSMNK21 Well, unless you live in a country where they treat prisoners like human beings and focus on actual rehabilitation instead of just making them miserable, because their population isn't a bunch of barbarians who are content with higher percentages of repeat offenders so long as they get to imagine people they don't like being raped on a regular basis while the government looks the other way.
You are what's wrong with the world. Kill yourself, or at the very least don't have children.

@KabarKelly YES.
wildchild2471 1 month ago
@KabarKelly There are many people who sat in jail for years on false rape charges. (see for example, the Gary Dotson case, in jail for over 10 years for a rape that didn't even happen. (The 'victim' had sex with her bf and made up the story just in case she got pregnant.) Since you believe they should be castrated, would you volunteer to sew it back on when it turns out they are not guilty after all?

@KabarKelly He's gonna wish his cellmate were castrated that's for sure....

It's amazing seeing

My wife was raped- she was raped more than once sadly. When I met her she was obviously troubled, yet underneath there was this beautiful person which I easily recognized. It took over 10 years of mariage before she even trusted ME enough to begin to tell what happened to her. She still can hardly talk about any of it, and when she does she blames HERSELF, and HATES HERSELF! She has now after all of these years only begun the healing process. I hope someday she has the strength Jaycee has found.

KillinDaWelfareMCs 2 months ago
When she turned 18 she stayed with him willingly right?
KillinDaWelfareMCs 2 months ago
@KillinDaWelfareMCs Not really willingly. When kidnapped the idea of escape might be as frightening as the idea of staying. She probably wanted to run away, but she had two daughters and wanted to protect them too. She was scared.
MsBabbi 2 months ago
@KillinDaWelfareMCs Depends on what you mean. Just because she was an adult then, he still kept her. You hear a lot (especially anymore, those sick bastards) of adults being taken. So, even though she was 18, it was still like she was a little kid and couldn't run away.
edwardcullenfan3 2 months ago
@edwardcullenfan3 they say that she would handle his business for his printing company. My understanding is that she would often meet clients who would come over but never ever asked for help or anything.
KillinDaWelfareMCs 2 months ago
@KillinDaWelfareMCs I heard he rarely even worked or anything. I never saw anything about a busniess O.O But now I'm curious. I'll look it up! :) I'd like to read more about that now.
edwardcullenfan3 2 months ago
@edwardcullenfan3 yes, look it up. Apparently there was a home based printing business and she dealt with alot of the clients. Some of whom built of a lengthy business relationship with her over many years. I think they printed business cards and flyers and other little stuff like that.

Just finished reading her book. It made me cry in several different spots. She is a smart, obviously strong human being, and I'm glad she had the strength to tell the world about it.! The very fact that she survived and has been such a good mother from such a young age just amazes me.She deserves every good thing in life that is surely ahead of her!!

@parresa101 North Korea and China are among the few countries that apply the death penalty for things other than murder. Do we really want to be like China and North Korea?
PeterPiper00 1 month ago
@PeterPiper00 why someone like him have to stay alive!! it takes up to 24 million dollars to keep someone in maximum security prison!
In china and couple of other countries (not sure which ones) after any executions they use all body tissues and organs for medical use!!
I personally support death penalty, and think using his oranges would be more useful than keeping him in a cell 23 hours of the day!
parresa101 1 month ago
@parresa101 death is too easy. he should suffer in prison.
FCastillo000 1 month ago
@VannillaandBean Unfortunately false accusations are common. Just like Gary Dotson, in jail 10 years for a rape that never occurred. The victim admitted later that she made the whole thing up because she was afraid she might be pregnant from her boyfriend. Even then the state of IL would only release him on parole, with a criminal record so he was unable to find employment. It took 25 years before he could finally clear his name. Look up Gary Dotson on Wikipedia.
