I prefer this trailer, the first one, so much more than the others. It has a feeling of despair and isolation about it. The music is perfect and it give the impression that it will be a tragic story about one mans struggle against an unstoppable power. Since this the trailers have lost this feeling as they progressed and it now seems like it will be a more typical story that is mainly about Noctis and Stella, instead of a truly dark and tragic tale.

Regular 13 will follow the traditional turn based fighting system, while Versus is more like Kingdom Hearts combat. The story for both 13 and Versus is in the same Universe, but take place in different places.
They both don't have a turn based system. The difference is the characters the games follow. Regardless, these are two completely different stories but could overlap at times.
I think he's unleashing his powers at a higher level that just summoning mutiple swords at once and commanding their flight pattern when his eye gets like that, or that's his "entering combat mode" thing.

Ya know what? I truely think FF13 can revive the franchise, after 11 and 12 murdered it. Seriousl, 13 is the darkest in the series yet, and with all the development that is being done to it because they can never be sure what system it will be for(the PS3 and 360 being the only ones that can handle the battle system), I think its gonna be great.
Actually 11 has a story line as well, its not just online. But I havent played it, but I heard it sucked. I do agree though, 10-2 sucked. But it isnt responsible for killing FF as much as 12 is....12 was a Tactics game placed in the original series...which the whole time, we could be playing FF13 or 13 Versus T_T
For me 12 was just dull, the storyline wasn't dark enough and the characters were more pathetic than interesting. I've played FF11 (online) for 3 years now, so my opinion of it is biased ^^. If I recall they are set on the same universe/planet. But they both take place in drastically different timezones. I think the crystals in both of them are related. Since that seems to be the focus of the games storyline.

They both don't have a turn based system. The difference is the characters the games follow. Regardless, these are two completely different stories but could overlap at times.

I think he's unleashing his powers at a higher level that just summoning mutiple swords at once and commanding their flight pattern when his eye gets like that, or that's his "entering combat mode" thing.

This game looks IMMENSE.
It seems that Square-enix has finally pulled it's act together and put out a game worthy of the title Final Fantasy.
From what i've already seen of the storyline and character development, this game looks to top FF7 (:

Ya know what? I truely think FF13 can revive the franchise, after 11 and 12 murdered it. Seriousl, 13 is the darkest in the series yet, and with all the development that is being done to it because they can never be sure what system it will be for(the PS3 and 360 being the only ones that can handle the battle system), I think its gonna be great.

Actually 11 has a story line as well, its not just online. But I havent played it, but I heard it sucked. I do agree though, 10-2 sucked. But it isnt responsible for killing FF as much as 12 is....12 was a Tactics game placed in the original series...which the whole time, we could be playing FF13 or 13 Versus T_T

For me 12 was just dull, the storyline wasn't dark enough and the characters were more pathetic than interesting. I've played FF11 (online) for 3 years now, so my opinion of it is biased ^^. I really hope that 13 can revive the series, i remember the disappointment i felt when i got 10-2 and have no desire to repeat that -.-

Ok, your implying a remake of final fantasy 7. Well, im sorry to tell you, but square Enix (nor any other company) is making a remake for final fantasy 7. Regarding the Video of the Final fantasy 7 to Playstation 3 entrance, that wasn't to advertise a new FF7 game, it was only to show off the capabilities of the PLaystation 3.

If I recall they are set on the same universe/planet. But they both take place in drastically different timezones. I think the crystals in both of them are related. Since that seems to be the focus of the games storyline.

There are going to be three games:
Final Fantasy XIII which is the meat and taters for the Xbox 360 and the PS3,
Final Fantasy Agito XIII is going to be a mobile phone game,
and Final Fantasy Versus XIII is the darkest of the three and is being rumored to be a PS3 exclusive
