@mangafreak29 I don't think it's meant to represent the actual in-game characters, it just quickly identifies what series this game is in.

@mangafreak29 Wasn't the original of the game in a similar style to all the ones before it? They've remade it loads of times, but the characters looked like that at the time of the release. Just like FF1, 2 and 3 before that, the characters in the first versions of the games were signified by job classes instead of Cecil, Kain, Rosa, etc.

Exactly. FFIV was originally intended to be on the NES with those characters, but was ported to the SNES due to time constraints, which allowed them to go into further detail with the characters ans create Cecil, Rosa, etc.

@Shurryy Why?... FFIII's normal boss theme isn't anything special... Normal battle and final battle themes are great, but the general boss music is very standard, even Uematsu admit so after writing it...

It's a commonly accepted fact that his best work is featured on IV through X...

Allow me to reiterate, the reason why S.S.H. has yet to cover that boss theme is most likely because it isn't worth his time. He only does renditions of good songs, sorry.
