I'm super-interested in working with transgender individuals once I'm in the workforce. People born this way, like myself, are in most biological respects male, but mentally different. We go through processes like hormone therapy and sexual reassignment surgery to feel more comfortable in our day-to-day lives.

I'm not great at summing things up. I suggest skimming Wikipedia's article on "gender dysphoria" for more info.
