My first guinea pig died after 13 years , then i got 2 more and they had 6 piggies , i gave most of them away , but i kept the mom , dad , 2 of the 3 of the babies .

Then the mom and dad died . (the dog got the dad :()

th mom died from scurvy

@FunnyChick313 I'm afraid it's only sold in Europe. It's a Russel Rabbit Feeding Egg for bunnies. I only know of a Dutch site which sells it here, called fretten.nl. The Small guinea pig treat balls are not used by piggies, about 4 inch large objects are spotted better.

We had like 2, then we borrow 1 male and then we had 8 but we had to sell 2 cuz of the bunny or else the cage was to small... 2 of the 6 left already died :'( they only reached 4 years.. (I know thats the normal piggie age but still sad:( )

At the start, they have grass, dandelion leaves & white/red clover leaves (not yellow= toxic), picked from my back yard, away from car exhausts & unsprayed. Later in the video: corn & corn leaves. Between the cars: milk thistle from my back yard. On the cord: Belgian endive, green bell pepper & celery on the cage bottom. Of course, they have pellets, in a bowl or in their feeding egg to topple over. And they had dried herb rolls at the end of the vid. And unlimited hay, of course.

Nope, they are very different. They take a long while to trust the owners too. But once they do, they are sooooooo sweet. They like being petted in the cage then, come up for cuddles, love sitting on your lap or chest, sing when you are back home, etc.

I am ashamed that the pigs are so spoiled, as we both here are not wealthy at all.

It's a dried herb roll, they are sold in a few types: dandelion, mint and nettle. Piggie cigars, lol!

They pee & poo mostly in their hideys and hay pile. We always use simple words to say what we're about to do when we approach the cage, they learn words in a couple of weeks easily, if you remain consequent using them: veggies, treat, cleaning, water, hay, petting, grabbing, their name, etc. That way, they will know that they are not up for grabs each time. In the beginning, throwing a mini towel over them to pick them up, makes it easier to catch them. Feel free to ask any info you need.

Yep, that's their cage. It's 4 m, that's 13 feet long, so it's very large. I use a double layer of pure cotton towels and one layer of fleece on it. It lasts a week easily before getting cleaned. I vaccume the poos off every 1.5 day. Once a week, I grab the fleece, shake it out outside, throw the fleece and towel in the washer, hottest wash, a bit of disinfectant added if you like and it's clean.

Much cheaper then other types of bedding, much easier too, better for anyone who has allergies (piggies or humans). The piggies love it!

They are not pregnant and they are even under the max weight allowed. 2 out of 3 are Rex piggies though, they are a larger breed and can therefore weigh more then most piggies.
